owh..ok...but i dont have TF2...huhu..

thx...

TF2 is a free 2 play platform copied by some of the newer games
TF2 can be download the sameway as CS:GO from steam and it cost absolutely nothing, nada
but it has it limitation interms of item space, but game wise, totally no difference with the paid game (which I am one of it.. vmad.gif )

technically i am a cheapskate
bought orange box for rm100
played through portal and halflife 2 before hooked on to tf2

the CS-GO pre-order was so tempting,
but thinking back... my gaming pc is shared with my brother (sleeping dog, darksider) and not much time can be taken out of TF2 to put in cs-go which i am sure to invest a lot

In the end forgo the cs-go for some sleep time....sad.gif / biggrin.gif

I'm starting to wonder, is the mic really that important in public servers? Seems to irritate more players than actually be functional.

Worse offenders are players sounding like they play beside an airport landing strip or beside a generator. rclxub.gif

1. Go to steam > library > cs:go and open properties by right clicking on it.
2. Go to local files tab and verify the files.
3. After verification completes, it will download a 3.xMB of files.

After that it should fix the issue.

What if you buy the usa version, will you be able to join SEA games?

Also how does it play compared to CS 1.6?

The server are now hosted by official server or still can host by players?

QUOTE(Axalter @ Sep 5 2012, 07:28 PM)
That's correct. SEA region locked copies of Valve games cannot be played outside of regions like Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam or Thai. These retail are only meant to be sold inside these countries. Your Steam client will blank out the copy of your game whatever you try to play it in countries like the US, Canada or UK.

The pre-order price for CS: GO was even cheaper on the Steam store than buying retail plus it's region free and you receive a bonus TF2 weapon.  laugh.gif

Region lock here means you are only restricted to run and play the game in your specific region you bought the game from. You can still play the game with anyone but the client will check your copy prior to running the game. Region free copies are exempted from this.

As for how does it play compared to the classic 1.6 you can read and watch plenty of the thousands reviews on the web including opinion by longtime veterans CS players.

Local network play and playing on other people servers is still possible. Why would they restrict this anyway? It's still CS. laugh.gif

I would like to hear your say on the difference as i searched the internet 99% of the post are useless. Insisting 1.6>GO>Source is not good enough explanation.

Also i'm suprised most people choose PC, since mouse & keyboard are supported on console, where cheating is very difficult.

And are the games hosted by the company or by individual like 1.6?

CS GO is basically a whole new game so stop comparing with others, as usualy by Valve it will be updated from time to time.

But well if you still insisted to ask the difference, i can tell you that the only difference is this game will be fully supported by its parents as its targeted to bring this game into competitive levels, so if you thought of going competitive, this game is your best bet, other than that, nothing to say much, its completely a new game.

Server can be hosted by company, or you can rent your own one.

And i don't see the reason to have CS on console seriously, this is a game we played since childhood and we played it on PC since the first release, what's the point releasing it on console? The sale is gonna fail so much IMO.

Another thing to add considered this is on Steam and a Valve title, it uses VAC.

A better question would be, why should most people even bother playing it on the console? considering the player base and the community of former veterans moving on with GO.

Last time CS 1.6 also have VAC but it's pretty useless in countering cheats.

It is pretty much agreed among many nothing close come to VAC. It is the best anti-cheat detection and prevention among the industry. It has a very impressive built algorithm that can adapt against any new exploits.

Just name me one system with a similar if not better reputation to VAC. There are none to my knowledge.

There weren't much updates going on from 1.6 so when its database gets into the public for long, its easily be accessible by hackers to get the code and modify it for aimbot/wallhack blablabla.

But gaming these days, you are sure won't be able to counter hackers, there will be 1 out of 10 people will be using it, but that won't really happen if you play scrim/matches most of the time.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive update rebalances weapons, adds Deathmatch

Valve have released a giant patch for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, bringing a new Deathmatch mode to the game, along with some major balance changes and bug fixes.

Deathmatch seems like an odd inclusion for the traditionally teamwork heavy online shooter, but Valve suggest that, as well as a fun sideshow, it can be an invaluable gamemode for honing your skills. “Practice your aim with individual weapons like the pros,” they write. “spawn with a random weapon, or boost your score by taking advantage of bonus timers. There’s no wrong way to play.”

“Deathmatch mode is also a useful way to learn a new map. Find out where you’re exposed, and experiment with new angles and approaches.” The new mode will work for all existing Classic, Arms Race and Demolition maps.

Valve have also made global changes to weapon recoil, as well as specific adjustments to rifles, pistols and the P90. The changes, they say, are based on the feedback the team have gathered from pro players.

Also in the patch list is a series of notes to mapmakers, including a reference to a “private beta for workshop maps”. That would suggest that CS:GO will eventually follow in Left 4 Dead 2′s hurried footsteps, getting mod support through the Steam Workshop.

Is CS:GO active in terms of locally available servers and players? Response seems to be low. I intend to purchase it.
