Confirmed. You can now install Nvidia Geforce Driver 280.26 directly, without resolving to tweaking. 
On a site note, does anyone know where to find the audio driver for ACER ASPIRE 4830TG?
The one listed on ACER site is "Audio Conexant Audio Driver 8.54.6.0 51.2 MB 2011/04/14 (click it)"
which is kinda old.
