Even if Cesc stays on, I believe his heart is somewhere else. It's much better for him to leave. Sad thing is the deal is concluded now and not much earlier. We have like another 16 days to get a quality player to boost the squad.

After watching the highlights of Cesc, no way we can replace him with any other player. His playing style is just unique. Forget bout Lampard or Gerrard, Cesc is the best at his position. Too bad the players around him are just not as good as him.
I wont blame him for leaving Arsenal. Ask yourself, will you stay in a trophyless club for 8 years? Or will you join the best club in the world which has seemingly every chance to do the treble every season? |

CODE BARCELONA will today complete the signing of Cesc Fabregas for £35million and rub salt in Arsenal’s wounds by valuing him at £95m more as they set his buyout clause at about £130m. when he was a gooner, he was valued at 35 mil, now a catalan the value has changed to 130mil. Wenger shrugged off the criticism of disgruntled Gunners fans at St James’ Park on Saturday imploring him to spend big. Arsenal face Italians Udinese in the Champions League qualifiers tomorrow and Wenger said: “I understand every criticism and I accept every criticism, but I try to do the best for my club. “I take everything else on board, but I do not necessarily listen to everything. If I listen I don’t necessarily believe everything." “We are not scared to spend money if we find the right player. Just spending the money is not the target we want. We want to find the right players and, if we find the right ones – whether for £2m or £20m – we will do it." “We have scouts all over the world and we are looking everywhere and, if we find it, we will do it. When I look at Gervinho I think he is a great player. It is frustrating sometimes because it now looks like players are judged just through the amount of money they cost. “It is a difficult opening to the season because the media environment is not positive for us and the only way we can silence people is by showing the attitude we had at Newcastle. I feel with similar performances we will gain the credit we deserve.” http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/265102...-valued-at-130m? |

its normal actually to put a high release clause. That doesnt mean other team have to pay that amount if they want the player.
As for me, i dont really felt anything when they announce the transfer. he is a great player, but he never really bring anything to the club. Football is a TEAM GAME. |

I feel you guys, just like United losing CR7 seasons back. But I'm sure with the 35 m pounds, the professor will work out his magic to uncover a potential replacement. No one is bigger than the club sorry to say. and Gunners will bounce back once the key areas are sorted out. |

Finally he is gone. Maybe it's time to depend on other players to bring the club up instead of him.
Now the next dilemma would be our "real" captain candidate. Barca finally so happy. Let's hope that they turn Fabregas into the best not to into and Oscar award winner |

good now, sign 1 more big star like 30m, use that sales of bentdner/eboue + remainder sum to raise Samir wages, make him stay. make him our new core.

QUOTE(jonathan1986 @ Aug 15 2011, 12:55 PM) No, i don't need the chill pill. If you followed closely the whole saga, you will know this is a fking joke. Of course i know what is the buyout clause. Definitely, let me ask you back, Would the fkerlona sell fabregas for 35M pounds if the situation is reversed??? OH NOT TO MENTION 25M payment and 10M later on!? Go check goonerblog, if what they reported its true.. Apparently Rosell already released the details. Absolutely agreed! Also, im glad hes gone, like this gunner said in other Arsenal forum... but he sums it up quite well. Cesc can rot on barca bench.. never a legend, great service only. Period. Yes, no doubt he is one of the best playmakers when he in on form, but his loyalty to Arsenal is what piss me off. I'm so glad it is over. |

--------------szczesny--------------
sagna-koscielny-vermaelen-gibbs ------ramsey-song-wilshere------- -------walcott rvp gervinho-------- that midfield is somewhat raw, need some steel. frimpong is good but extra virgin so need reinforcement. 1 more midfield + 1 more defence is good enough. |

atlast fabregas is gone ... hope we can settle nasri's case within these few days as well.
we need 2 new players ... a central defender n a midfielder then i believe we are ready for EPL. once we sell nasri, i hope wenger will go for eden hazard n also vertoghen (hope i spell correctly) or cahill. |
