It also have very good handling in dry road condition. This word make BMW cabut from WTCC... This post has been edited by Oldskolboyz: Aug 13 2011, 12:34 AM

Also with today's not so good drivers and trigger happy lawyers, even rear wheel drive cars eg. BMW are much easier to drive and tuned for safer responses ie. understeer not oversteer. In short unless you're among the top 1% of drivers out there you get much more feel and control of the road driving a gokart then a modern RWD car.

QUOTE(superTB @ Aug 13 2011, 01:09 AM) im just asking..... so most proton use what? proton use front wheel drive. You can check it by open up proton bonnet and see the engine location (this will give you answer the car have front engine) for the wheel drive check the drive shaft connected from gear box, if the driveshaft connect to front tyre that mean the car is front wheel) so for proton is FF mean front wheel drive with front engine location.

RWD vehicle has a center hump on the floorboard at the rear passenger seat. Once I was ferrying a full load and three girls was sitting at the rear. The center one has no leg room so she has to put one of her leg on the hump and everything under her hood is exposed. RWD vehicles usually have the fan driven by the engine itself and not electrically operated as in FWD. Advantage of RWD is it is easier to balance the weight distribution of the car eg. the former Alfettas where they place the gear box almost in the middle to balance the car weight distribution for better road holding. If you are planning to take a load uphill, will it be easier to push from the back or pull from the front I think it is easier to push from the back, that's why there are still many expensive cars still chooses RWD. I still like RWD vehicles as they are easier to correct when driving hard into corners and also there is no bothersome drive shafts to bother about. Drive axles are more hardy than CV joints or drive shafts. Ever wonder why AE86 are popular or the KE70 for drifting? Because they are RWD.
