Driver side power windows KO.. how much to change to metal type power windows? any place for installation?

Hi guys, my aircond compressor just died while im driving in the middle of highway, it sounds like it is jammed up..
when engine is running and turn on the air cond, the engine will stopped.

Please advise if this aircond compressor can be repaired? or it need to replace with a new/recond one?
Which brand is reliable? DENSO? APM? PATCO? etc? How much are they?
