i tot reits are being backup by their assets based....

how come value can drop so badly?
*
alo bro.
repeat after moi... STOCK MARKET PRICE <> REAL VALUE
stock market price = willing buyer/seller - it's a HUGE bid/offer stage
it can have NOTHING to do with reality and fundamental values.

Thank gawd else how to buy value heheh... coz i suck at trading tongue.gif

all sifu here...

how big is the fund size to built a passive income of rm1000 per month?
*
Just "seefood" here hehe, no sifu. Hope the below helps

Take $1K *12 months = $12K
Then divide $12K by your investments' average compounded pa % returns

eg. i expect my total investments' (FD, Bonds, Stocks, REITs, Properties, Gold, etc.) average compounded returns to be 8%pa
thus, $12k/8% = $150K

If U plonk all in FD, U'd need like $12K / 4% = $300K in FD
Oki dokie?

Yes. Those were the good old days  rclxms.gif  But at that time  I remember everyone else was exiting the market. Only you guys with steel balls  flex.gif  did the opposite.  biggrin.gif

Balls of steel or just hungry for a feast of DY% (how to ignore those numbers - at the very least, start nibbling if not sai-lang in sweat.gif)

Yea, so trying to get answers  rclxms.gif  someone mentioned will be adjusted, but ididnt notice twrreit gone down? The dividend exdate over already right?
*
Hey there ConstantLove,

Just a PoV ar - pls keep in mind that the stock market is like a "big auction house" - with thousands/millions of people bidding to buy and offering to sell.
The transacted price / "price done" is where bidder and offerer agrees on.
Thus, it is NOT an exact science where IF a stock's ex-dividend, it will fall.

It TENDS to fall coz, logically & fundamentally, the company just ejected a bunch of $ to cum-div stock holders, thus the ex-dividend stock value should be lower.
eg. stock cum div = $1, dividend $0.10, thus if simple exact maths, the stock value should drop to $0.90 ex-div
This happens for sure only in mutual funds, where the NAV isn't based on bid/offer of a free market, but based on maths.
However, for stocks in an open bid/offer market, anything can happen.

In an open bid/offer auction market, the $ agreed/transacted can be ANYTHING (theoretically), and can be far removed from the company's business reality.

Just a PoV to try and put things in perspective. The gurus/sifus in LYN may have a better example than my simplified version of "big auction". notworthy.gif

i m using HLB

why the bank did not call me about the right issue? does this means my right will lapse??
*
er.. U are using your own CDS a/c or a "trust nominee" a/c?
I'm on "trust nominee" a/c and they do call me, even for my SGX rights issue / dividend re-investments.
May be different for own CDS a/c gua, IF lar U are on that.
