incertain extend ppl with snooker knowledge can learn pool very fast... but not until kacang lar
ronnie and steve really do er... did not well in pool. they hav 2 improve their breaks. ofcuz giving them a simple rack whithout and obstruction they will run out easliy without a doubt. and both of them is playing pool 4 quite a long time (espeacially steve) and they still miss simple shot jz look at ronnie play 8 ball at IPT tak boleh tahan la and i once heard steve davis says when u shot a long distance ball even is in pool is still damm frickin hard also no offends la pool and snooker and 3chushion(carom) is very diffrent kind of game... knowledge of all dis 3 respective sports can be use in any dicipline.. but wunt as such extreme as kacang lar. pool is not oni pot balls u noe ps i dint say im good in pool snooker and 3chusion anyway mayb i am or mayb i am not zhumak: where do u buy it? (the dufferin cue) wats ur new cue anyway? seruzz: when is the LYN tourney? This post has been edited by LKW_717: Sep 5 2006, 02:20 PM |

Guys, chill a bit lah...No need to get so worked up on such matters.
I agree that snooker players might find it not so easy to switch to pool. First, the pool and snooker table is different in size. This may affect the way the players judge the direction of the ball. Secondly, the size of the ball is different. This might cause the ball to come in contact at a different angle. I don't blame david tamiya for his statement because, as an amatuer, I too think the same way sometimes because snooker helps a person a lot in pocketing a ball since the hole is smaller and bank shots is much harder. When I play, I usually can't manage to run a rack till the 9-ball...1 or 2 ball already stop. In that way, it makes me feel that it is better for me to be better at pocketing balls than positioning of the cue ball, which in reality, is not. Just my humble 2 cents. |

mine the brand is call Dufferin if im not wrong, i already modify it and spray black colour on the cue, haha. i like black design. mine is 1pc maple cue, i don like cue with joint, 1pc better feel. if u get a good maple cue, can say as stiff as ash wood cue. but both for different style of playing, hard to compare. this maple cue is very good when i use SIDE ball, even if long distance u put side, the side still remain when it touches the object ball. but this is cue is abit too powerful, so need more time to control strength, placing is a problem sometimes when i overly hit it. side ball and screw back ball is very easy to produce, i love it. hohoho.
don envy me la, when girl ask u to buy present, tat is the headache start, haha |
