can i register a c.card and use like balance transfer method to buy a car.. so at least the interest rate is lower compare to personal loan.. am i right?
*
It's not advisable unless you buy a cheap car and you have plenty of credit cards with high credit limits. Let's say u get a 0% for 6 months, you sure you can settle in full amount in the 6th month? else you will be charging 18% p/a. Let's say you transfer it to other credit card, how many credit card is offering 0% BT? Most likely u can see in the market is 6% p/a which is higher than car loan's rate already.

haha im buying a 19years old car soo car loan is definitely out.. its either personal loan or BT, and im only wishing to loaning about RM18,000 amount and let it be 2years installment, so far i only sees BSN had the best offer, 24months period with 12months 0%  and the rest 0.375% which mean its only 2.25% p.a am i calculated right? so my monthly installment will be RM783.75.. am i right? please correct me.. thanks for ur effort of replying shiroikun smile.gif
*
If it is 0% for 24months then it is a good deal = 18000/24 = 750 per month only

But for 0.375 per month = it should be 0.375x12 = 4.5% p/a , if 2 years it will be 9% by flat rate

(18000 + 1620)/24 = RM817.5 monthly installament laugh.gif

errr shiroikun i think u were wrong.. pls visit http://www.mybsn.com.my/pb_transferplan.html from that table you could see that it offering 12months of interest rate free (0%) and another 12months are to be charged 0.375% interest rate.. so in 2 years time u end up only pay 12months interest..
*
Oh i see, i read wrongly. I thought there are 2 banks offering you different rate , haha

for MBB a big NO. MBB BT bill you monthly for 12 months, you won't see full BT amount as your outstanding balance. If you wanna BT full amount out from MBB BT to CIMB, you need to call MBB customer service to fully bill the BT amount to your credit card then only you able to BT to CIMB BUT they will charge you RM100 for early settlement

ok. just wondering about the process/possibility of BT out a BT'ed amount from CIMB to Maybank.
*
For CIMB you can do so, the first 5 months you can pay the minimun payment and the final month BT the remaining outstanding to MBB then you will get 0% for 6months + another 12months 0% installment @ MBB

Bank Rakyat Launches Card Credit Balance Transfer Campaign

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 22 (Bernama) -- Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Bhd on Thursday launched a credit card balance transfer campaign which allows over 200,000 holders of its credit cards to enjoy an annual profit rate of nine percent and a three percent cash rebate.

"This campaign makes it easy for our customers to transfer balances from their other credit cards to Bank Rakyat credit cards.

"This balance transfer with rebates is the first in the country," the cooperative bank's Credit Card Department Manager Khairil Hamzah said at the launch ceremony officiated by Deputy Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Tan Lian Hoe here.

The miminum balance for transfer is RM1,000 while the maximum depends on the limits offered by Bank Rakyat and subject to cardholders' available balances.

The nine percent profit rate is for a year and no processing fee is imposed on the transfer.

In addition, the outstanding balance will be covered by takaful should the cardholder die or permanently disabled.

"This rebate is a way to show our appreciation to cardholders for their support towards the Bank Rakyat Credit Card programme," Khairil said.

The campaigh which ends on Dec 21 is expected to increase the amount of balance transfered by 30 percent from the average recorded in the Jan-July period.

Paying the minimum, will also get charged by interest right?

Pardon me, I've always been settling the statement amount in full every month. So I don't know what's the effect of paying minimum amount tongue.gif
*
You will be charging interest on the outstanding amount and all your new transaction will not entitle for 20days free interest until u settled in full.

Under CIMBClicks, I noticed the BT accounts created 2 months ago, the column "Outstanding Balance (RM)" and "Credit Available(RM)" no longer add to the actual BT total amount.... I wonder why.

Anybody with CIMB BT can check their CIMBClicks if your shows the same thing ?
*
Changing the way of billing? They will only bill you once a month in the new BT account just like what other bank did?

Why would u settle for 3.99% when pbb
Cimb and mbb offer much much lower unless u don't have other cc?
*
I don't have PBB and CIMB CC, MBB having a low credit limit, can't really do much with it.

QUOTE(gerrardling @ Oct 7 2011, 01:37 PM)
maybe he wants reducing rate typed of BT ? but cimb offer that kind of option also at 0%
*
Yap, i like reducing rate BT, only this type of BT you can always BT from 1 CC to another.

I tried to register CIMB VS twice already, rejected and rejected...i'm giving up on CIMB since the promotion for 0% ending soon but i'm not sure it will extend or not... rclxub.gif

Complimentary Movie Ticket - Enjoy a complimentary movie ticket of the same class - Gold, Premiere, or Normal Class, with any purchase of movie tickets with your CIMB Visa Signature card at any Golden Screen Cinemas nationwide.

I don't want 3D, I just want the buy 1 free 1 GOLD class. Don't think other debit or credit cards offer this.
