I'm thinking about getting a ipad2 for basic purposes (youtubing, uploading my pix to flickr, as a personal organizer). But i have a concern i want ask about: I have a canon g11 digital camera and whenever I connect to my PC, the software (camerawindow) will download pictures with all the setting of the camera that the picture was taken (like ISO, aperture, focus, flash setting) into the properties of the image file. I wonder will it be the same if connect my digital camera with ipad2 with the optional USB accesories? can i load the camera settings of the image into the ipad? I ask the machines store staff at midvalley n 1 utama, but both of them went huh? and said 'most probably not' . Any way that's my dealbreaker, if it can't do that, then I just have get a windows laptop get my thing done. Thanks for all your answer and clarification. Very new to gadgets n stuffs.

Thanks all for your feedback. I don't own a iphone, but i guess being a phone + camera, it will do everything. I guess its safe to say that ipad doesn't do that. Thanks again for your help. getting sucked to windows again....

As far as I know, if you're shooting .JPG files with your G11, then all image attributes (ISO, aperture, focus, flash settings, etc) at saved into the image. Transferring it from one device to another does not impact that information. The only way to remove that information is if you do something to the image itself, such as 'save for web' etc. Hope this helps.

actually, I think it's better you can ask this in a photography forum for those who load their pics in iPad cos usually photographers are techie savvy too since there is photo editing etc. But if you are using it for serious photo stuff maybe you might want to consider a Mac book?

Thanks guys for your contribution. But since I never saw any solid statement regarding the ipad being able to do this, I may not take the risk... I'll try posting on the apple support forum, to see if they have any answer. I just own a compact... not so seriously into photography and do not want to adjuzt the photo after its taken so a tablet would've been nice...
