QUOTE(Vesuviuszzz @ Apr 11 2014, 01:10 AM) Lone Survivor! just downloaded it haven't got the time to watch it yet though! here's hoping it will be a good un"Been around the world twice. Talked to everyone once. Seen two whales f***, been to three world faires. And I even know a man in Thailand with a wooden cock. I pushed more peeter, more sweeter and more completer than any other peter pusher around. I'm a hard bodied, hairy chested, rootin' tootin' shootin', parachutin' demolition double cap crimpin' frogman. There ain't nothin' I can't do. No sky too high, no sea too rough, no muff too tough. Been a lot of lessons in my life. Never shoot a large caliber man with a small caliber bullet. Drove all kinds of trucks. 2by's, 4by's , 6by's and those big mother f***ers that bend and go 'Shhh Shhh' when you step on the brakes. Anything in life worth doing is worth overdoing. Moderation is for cowards. I'm a lover, I'm a fighter, I'm a UDT Navy SEAL diver. I'll wine, dine, intertwine, and sneak out the back door when the refueling is done. So if you're feeling froggy, then you better jump, because this frogman's been there, done that and is going back for more. Cheers boys." "You are never out of the fight." |

QUOTE(Mov_freak @ Apr 11 2014, 10:57 PM) Constantine (2005) Hey hey hey! u didn't mention Tilda Swinton as the angel Gabriel ! for that sir i hate you ! I am going straight to the point here, I LOVE this movie. I understand it bombed from the perspective of box office, still I like this movie. It is being categories as a fantasy horror, and it defines the movie pretty well. Keanu Reeves is John Constantine, much to the horror of the comic book fans, and I think he did a great job. I think the comic fans wanted something more edgy (Constantine is a chain smoking, foul mouth, could not careless & yellow trenchcoat wearing con man/mystic!!) and Keanu is not quite that, but I like him in the role. Hope that clears up his character... Rachel Weisz is the lady lead and as always Shia LaBeouf the awkward side kick... have you noticed that that is the ONLY role he plays, no matter what movie he is in... It is a shame that the movie did not do well in the box office. I would have love a sequel to this movie. Will Disney/Marvel tearing up the box office with their comics material, maybe it is time Warner/DC rethink their Vertigo material... Sandman maybe??... My Two Sen |

QUOTE(Mov_freak @ Apr 12 2014, 05:34 PM) The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013) watched it in cinema which is 10 times better when i watched it again on my laptop Want to escape a dreary life? If you do, why not give The Secret Life of Walter Mitty to do it for you? Very well written, well acted and very well executed! Say what you want about Ben Stiller, his movies can have very meaningful messages in them, and this movie have spades of it! Everything in the movie is so well thought out. From the storyline to the camera work, the getting the right actors for the different roles!! Additionally, having Life Magazine as the basis for the movie is simply brilliant!! Do yourself a favour, what ever point in life you are at, watch this movie!! My two Sen the scenes is very poignant with all the beautiful places, ben stiller is much well suited in this kind of mv rather than comedy i would say, and sean pen is so epic despite having only a couple of minutes appearances. |

QUOTE(Mov_freak @ Apr 12 2014, 07:38 PM) Did not particularly like the new Evil Dead. As a matter of fact, I did not even enjoy the original one. I much rather to watch movies like The Cabin in the Woods (2012)! It kept me on my toes... (trying to figure out what t he heck is going on...) watched cabin in the woods, quite a twisted ending surprising to say the least. yeah evil dead was just straight gory wanna vomit the part they cut hands and all ugh. |

QUOTE(Mov_freak @ Apr 14 2014, 12:06 AM) *Sigh* like everything nowadays, profit is king, which explains that sequels is a safe course, especially if the first movie is profitable, which means "original" material hardly get made... eh i'm sure there's a lot of movie you have yet to see that is worth it, i've watch dear zachary and grave of fireflies earlier this year, both made me shed tears like a baby!!!!!Sad really... |

QUOTE(Mov_freak @ Apr 14 2014, 07:57 AM) I have not watched Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father (2008) and Grave of the Fireflies (1988) is an amazing movie. Please note the years they were produced. I was lamenting the current stated of movie making... oh yeah i know the top movies of recent 2010 upwards i would suggest that u somehow will reflect upon your life would be the-- kid with a bike (2011) we need to talk about kevin (2011) The hunt (2012) Incendies (2010) amour(2012) Her (2013) Reality (2012) about time (2013) melancholia (2011) moonrise kingdom (2012) like someone in love (2012) never let me go (2010) somewhere (2010) if u have the time try dl and watch and give me your opinion, some is more of an artsy movie rather than just straight heavy punchline drama (artsy in term of cinematography) oh and samsara (2011) is so beautiful to watch despite being an art with motion pics. |

I was lamenting the current stated of movie making... and i intentionally avoid to named the usual suspects like silver linings playbook, tree of life, wolf of wallstreet, american hustle, blue jasmine, drive, etc cause its quite well known and mainstream and i expected a movie aficionado like you would have watched it anyway, but hey while the entertaiment value is high in this one with crowd pleasing stars and storyline, it is still entertaining in a way which makes it enjoyable to pass the time. and every now and then you just have to watch comedy movie, animation, straight action violence movie, to diversified your life, it will be a bit boring if you were to watch 5 star movie everyday (5 star movie tends to carry deep morale issues as their main plot think 12 years a slave) |
