Lord Of The Rings, Extended Edition- The Fellowship Of The Ring
AQ 5
PQ 5

Extra footage with markedly improved PQ and AQ over the theatrical version.
The musical score during the Bridge At Khazad Dum really impressive and adds to the majestic imagery on screen.
Additional details like the gifts given by Galadrial and the elven bread add value and flesh out the characters even more.

I can't wait to watch the other two in the series.

In Time..
Suspend logic and just enjoy the movie.
The premise of time being the currency attracted me.
In the end become like bonnie and clyde movie..

You Are The Apple Of My Eye.

Had to read the subtitles abut this is a gem. Brought back many fond recollections of my own past as well.
I even managed quite a few laughs and the ending is so, so true to life.

A Must Watch.

watched 'Malena', an italian movie, last night.
Just to see the sexy walk of Monica Bellucci was wonderful but there were the occasional bonus drool.gif visuals.
A poignant study of adolesecence and puberty 'italiano stlye during the time of WWII.
Being beautiful can be a burden too, and the sexual fantasy of all young boys growing up is aptly captured in this film.
A cruel study of society where being beautiful and singlecarries with it the stigma and jealousy of the womenfolk and the lustful desires of the men.
Initially,I just wanted to check out if the transfer to my hdd was ok but, despite watching another full movie earlier in the evening,I could not bring myself to press the stop button.
Ended up, watched two movies last night.

Pacific Rim is another Transformer movie with Ultraman monsters on steroids.
Story line sucks and the dialogue is even worse but the bass is immense.

Man of Steel is a disappointment AQ wise. Just too loud without any dynamic range.
Bass is also filtered and had no impact or slam for me.

Oblivion and Conjuring are two of the standouts for both AQ and PQ this year.
The Croods is also a nice surprsie. I actually enjoyed it more than Despicable 2.

Yes, it was very enjoyable.
The movie was fast paced and exciting to watch, so much so it felt short though it was 2hr + in length.
Before I knew it, it was over ady.

Thor-The Dark world

I rather enjoyed this episode the most out of the first one in the franchise.
The hero is more likeable and 'human', getting my empathy as well.
The villains are not really evil in the true sense of the word. Their reality and universe is just not the same as ours and to them, we are as evil and cruel as they are to us.

The bass is unfiltered but there is a lack of the mid bass range impact.
Sofa rattlng is few and infrequent.

The movie overall PQ iis dissapointing to me.
Either my bulb needs changing or I am getting cataracts.
It is mostly dark or very dark and my eyes tire after a while sad.gif
Bulb life is 2300 hrs and the HC4000 is not exactly a high lumen pj either. And the 106" grey screen did not help too.
Thinking of a white screen next when I change the bulb soon.

Doc, the scene is only ocasionally dark; just bcoz that the movie is  called "The Dark World". I find the PQ is good in my peasant eyes.  nod.gif
Lol, indeed it's itchiness for upgrading. laugh.gif

Hahhaaa....the title does sound apt in my situation.
I am hanging on till 3,000 lamp hours before changing the bulb or until every movie seems like it is being shot at night.
Gravity was very watchable. thumbup.gif
