hi all.. i was about to start playin SC2 before i found out that SEA is divided with EU server.

So i am wondering whether i can change the version from SEA to EU "AFTER" i actiavted its region to SEA. because now im having holiday in malaysia and wanted to play here before i go back to Russia and continue playing in their server which already combined with EU.

is it possible? because i cant wait to buy the game here and i havent found any EU version of the game here. lol. thanks guys

You are able to access to SEA and US server if you purchase the SEA version of SC2, as for EU, its a stand alone server, so you have to purchase a EU SC2 in order to play.

my friend actually called up blizzard support team to explain that he bought the wrong server, he will be studying in UK for the next 4 years so blizzard allowed him to change his SEA account to EU...

ok. so what about the game client? does he have to dload the EU client? or can he just play in EU with the installed version which is SEA? because some patches only applied at specific region isnt it?

There's a way to change the gateway, that you might need to ask mr.google about it, and no, patches are universal, there are no such thing as specific patch for specific region.
