my dfi nf2 ui can't boot at 1.8V or higher. Even when the CPU is set to default speeds. i googled and some say it's the bios. i've tried a lot but problem not solved. anybody experienced this? please help.

Hi all,
I am newbie in the overclocking scene.I have a Barton 2600 and want to overclock to 3200.... My mobo is ASRock K&s41GX running on stock fan. I have tried changing FSD in bios witout changing jumper on mobo....and can reach 3200.... My question is :- 1. Is it possible to overclock 2600 to 3200? 2. Should I try changing jumper setting and voltage? 3. Will stock fan be enough or do I need special cooling to overclock? Thank you. |

I think no need to touch the jumper at all. Only voltage needs to be adjusted slightly depending on the proc itself. 3. Depends on the current temp u got while clocking it to 3200+. If its under 60c then no need to worry. But then upgrading the cooling system would lead the proc to a longer lifespan. So its up to u if u have the cash. |
