Yeah I defrag a lot because the laptop has nothing to do lol. Whenever I go class, I let it Defrag & Optimize then turn off itself.

I'm stating the price of the laptop, minus the real-world value of the gifts as valued on HP's website.

What I'm saying is that if we were to buy the gifts individually, we're actually only paying the said amount for the laptop.

You shouldn't take production cost into account. Businesses care about the production cost, consumers decide if the listed price is worth the purchase or not.

In this case, I'd say it was a good purchase.

The AMD driver issue is plaguing my laptop.

My friend's dv6 also got this problem, but his cannot be recreated - his AMD driver crashes whenever it wants, i.e. crash in the middle of surfing the internet.

Mine, however, crashes only when I'm coming out of Heroes of Newerth by alt-tab, Windows key or otherwise. It has a 50% chance of happening though. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it does not. Weird.

Does anybody know how to download Driver Sweeper?

When I want to uninstall AMD driver, do I uninstall from Device Manager?

Or should I just uninstall only CCC?

Or I should uninstall CCC first, then uninstall AMD driver from Device Manager?

I got Revo Uninstaller, should I use Revo to uninstall it?

One more question, when you install some programs, it will ask you to reboot to clear leftover files. What if I used Revo to uninstall them and the program wants me to reboot? If I reboot, then Revo won't do it's job of scanning the registries, etc. So should I reboot or Revo will settle these items?

Ok I got it. I'm uninstalling AMD driver now.

Anyway, so if I uninstall programs (separate case) with Revo, I should choose NOT to uninstall the said program and let Revo settle the leftovers?

I got another somewhat minor problem, why is it that sometimes my shut-down time is slow but sometimes it's fast?

No, I always close all programs when I shut-down or reboot. Sometimes it takes 10 seconds. Sometimes just 3.

Do you guys experience a "laggy" feeling when using Firefox v6.0 on the dv6 only? It takes 11 seconds to launch, and another 3 to completely load Google.com when I first launch it after the computer boots. But after Firefox had launched for the first time, the second time is very much faster, taking only 2.5 seconds to launch and completely load Google.com.

It has only 3 enabled add-ons and no app tabs, by the way.

And when it opens new empty tabs, it somehow feels "laggy" compared to when I open a new empty tab in my desktop. In my desktop's Firefox v4.0, it feels smooth and it "flows".

Even after the 2nd launch, I still feel the lag when opening new empty tabs, especially when closing them. The [+] lags badly. It actually "jumps" twice, from the far end to the middle, then to the left, sticking to the nearest tab. It doesn't affect performance though, it switches back to existing tabs OK. It's just the graphics.

I'm looking at these backpacks now for the dv6, but I'll have to wait for a price quotation from DAViS first before making a decision.

I guess only the padding for the laptop counts, but every extra padding is good.

Anyway, just took a look at SLAPPA. I prefer Ogio designs to SLAPPA's but SLAPPA's are pretty cool too. Looks punk-ish though, doesn't have the clean, professional feel to it.

About the care-pack, can I use it if I'm overseas?

This is getting annoying.

My AMD driver crashes almost every time I alt-tab out of Heroes of Newerth.

The AMD driver also randomly crashes during web-browsing although it occurs far less often.

Sometimes, even quitting Heroes of Newerth will crash the AMD driver.

Can someone help me with this issue?
