I have my fair share of experience with the c2pid guard also.
My friend also my ID came and look for me the other day, to check out my unit etc.
She called me and say she is at the guard house liau.
So i told her my unit number and ask her to park at the visitor car park.
I will come down to the lobby to pick them. (since they got no access card to come in).
When they tell the guard the unit number. The guard say "ask your friend come down to the guard house"
My friend told them im already at the lobby waiting for them.
But the c2pid security guard still insist to ask her to call me to go to the guard house.
Until my friend beh tahan and scold them only they let them in

I think it is a balance between security and convenience. On one hand we want the security not to simple allow outsiders to enter, but on the other hand our friends who visit may face inconvenience when coming to visit us.
Perhaps we should talk to Security Mgmt that if we use the intercom to tell them who is coming over and visiting which unit, then they can allow the person to enter, otherwise no entry, or work out something similar. We definitely do not want unknown outsiders coming in swimming in the pool or using the other facilities or break-ins etc. Even walk-ins also should be strictly screened.
