The RMAH is supposedly tied to your location. Even if you get a NA CE, its not going to change a thing. Is this info on the first page? It really needs to be. Well, not that anyone read the first post nowadays.

guys, i would like to ask the difference about the collector edition.

I was interested in purchasing the collector edition just for collecting the merchandise. But then i use the search function in lowyat garage sales. and stumble upon the price tag of NA version and SEA version.

Price tag between both are RM400 to RM800, may i ask why the SEA version is more expensive? was it have extra item that NA does not have? i wish someone could explain to me why SEA version CE has double the price tag of NA Version CE.

So whats the point of getting SEA when u can get NA for a much more cheaper price?

none. Just the newbs did not know this and just blindly buy it, when there is no benefit, and the price is so damn high.

Also if what i said about rmah being based on bnet account address is wrong, and you bought a D3 NA, You'd then be able to use RMAH in US which is better since they will pay in USD and have more people to buy and sell since they have a bigger player base compared to SEA. Although this seems highly unlikely.

So i still stick by the assumption rmah will be locked based on your battlenet account address listed. You can google to double check if you want.

In summary buying the NA is a win win in either case, especially since it's cheaper anyway compared to the SEA version.
It sux very hard that we need to import US version, because even after importing it's cheaper compared to SEA versions. People from SEA are expected to pay double for no extra benefit for the local SEA retails, despite the fact we earn way less in income compared to the rich western countries 

Basically Americans who buy D3 NA locally pay cheaper compared to people from SEA who have to pay the expensive shipping fees. Seems very unfair :/ the players in the SEA region get the rough end of the stick.

These were just virtual items, and there were no legal restrictions in place preventing them from selling these "region free" virtual products in any region that players selected. Locking them down to specific regions was a decision made by Blizzard, and it was completely unnecessary UNLESS they wanted more money (players could no longer shop around for better pricing) AND/OR they had future plans to eventually convert the Pet Store into a "Blizzard Store" where they where they could also sell other stuff (like games, expansion packs, digital downloads, or game time) instead of just virtual pets.

I don't use this word too often, but that move was just plain greedy.

Most players didn't even know about the cross-region pricing differences, and hardly any players even took the time to take advantage of it. Even with such a small number of players actually buying virtual pets cross-region, and most not even knowing about it, Blizzard still wouldn't leave it alone. They needed to tightly squeeze that sponge just to get a little more water out of it.
