kianweic - u like it so far?

There are only two level of zoom.

One close one far. Using the far version most of the time.

Playing as barbarian is quite fun.

Also, fits my play style as I can play Diablo 3 Beta very casually.

(ie. 30 minutes Diablo 3 => sometime else => back to Diablo 3 for another 30 minutes._

my 1st char would be barbiedoll also, fascinated by the shckwave thing.
i play wiz as a second char due to the lazer beam thing, heard that with runes you can get to 2 beams

Will try monk as my second character (if I have the time that is).

in hardcore mode, witch doctor and monk will be popular.

When witch gets a killing blow, he has a spell to auto phase him and recover a portion of his life. He then has like a few seconds to escape while he is phased in the spiritual realm.

The monk can make a clone which last like 1 second or so, and when it gets attacked it explodes for insane damage. But with a rune you may be able to extend the time the clone appears, as well when u die, u will auto take up your clones position.

Definitely gonna get one of these heroes for HC.

the graphics looks a bit cartoonish....

actually wat i wanted to refer earlier to is tat the graphic reminds me torchlight...

as far as i recall, diablo2 graphics looks more...dark...diabloish...i dunno...in this d3 the graphics looks a bit too colorful...

and is the beta ver has the graphic tone down?

I think rather than watch screenies better go youtube and see the HD videos.
Still pictures wont do justice the game.

But I do think the graphics can be improved slightly.

Well, the graphics on Diablo 1 is darker and more diablo-ish than Diablo 2.

1. Torchlight was made by people who were involved in Diablo 1.

2. What do you mean graphic toned down?
- In terms of gloominess?
- Graphic settings (this I agree, needs to be able to set higher level of AA).

i believe they've taken a right direction in graphics as if theres anything darker than d1, id have to wear nightvision goggles to game that shit

I won't have time to play Diablo 3 Beta the next few days.

Therefore, I will only write the review either next week (before my Bali trip) or the week after (after my Bali trip).
