Weird!!! When I follow the second method to change to "WellcoM-A99-V318E.nb0", it show me the error msg of "The software image file does not match with your phone software..."

But, when I follow the same method to change to "FB0-318D-0-5012-A03.nb0", it success update my phone.

The important thing is, is there a way for me to change to "WellCom A99 2.3.4 318E ROM"???

EDIT: oh i noticed. ive been on the stock CSL gingerbread 2.3.4 3_18D and had batt issue, batt % kept going up n when reset phone the % actually dropped (meaning it isnt displaying the right %). sent to CSL they fixed it by downgrading me to 2.2.1 then i asked for reupgrade back to 2.3.4, they did that, but now im on 3_18B only instead of 3_18D the ori 1. i noticed that the phone will auto reset randomly (regardless of what version it was).. once occurred random.. the other was when I was playing some Gameloft game lol.

batt life srsly sucks man the rate of battery charging is way slower than rate of battery drain.. what would u do in this situation..

I got that random restart with Cherry Mobile 318B ROM as well, the WellCom 318E fixed the problem. To save as much battery life as possible, turn off data connection (3G and stuff). I usually can get 2-3 days of battery life.

sounds interesting. any other probs u notice on the wellcom 318E? am downloading now and planning to root after dinner haha.. is there a way to backup my phone so that when recover it is as though nothing changed except the ROM?

The Wellcom file works fine with me......maybe you should try it again since you made it with the CSL ROM.....maybe try downloading the Wellcom file from another source again

have u noticed any bugs w the wellcom rom? also has anyone tried chainfire 3d on it? actually what does chainfire 3d do? i can play those hd games without it oso haha..jus not very nicely renderred oni d sprites

I did have one problem, it won't change to other keyboard even when I forced it to. Quite annoying, end up deleting the original keyboard in order to use the custom one.

Chainfire3D won't work in Gingerbread, brightness will set at max and the 4 shortcut button light will turn off when you do it. Chainfire3D supposed to be able to emulate and run Tegra exclusive games, normal games don't have any trouble with this phone so you don't need it.

The phone has been smooth and didnt self restart when browsing since i reflash my stock CSL ROM to Wellcom . Regarding games i only started install playing angry bird .

I don't know what kind of game are Tegra exclusive, never bothered about it. Assassin Creed is not one of them, it played just fine on this phone. Tried plenty of games. H.A.W.X, NFS Shift, Gangstar Miami Vindication, FPse PSX emulator, Splinter Cell, Star Battalion and few other old console emulator (N64, GBA etc) all work well without any modification

EDIT: I not really delete it, jsut merely rename the touchpal.apk to touchpal.bak. So anytime I Wanted it I simply rename it

Chainfire 3D actually save your time to redownload (download by not paying ;-)) the correct version of .apk file which is playable to this phone.

There are GPU version for power vr, snapdragon & tegra, you might download the power vr version which our phone can't play. With chainfire 3D, we need just to change the GPU plugin to play.

Yep WellCom download speed is incredibly slow, but you can pause and resume if you use download manager/accelerator

YES! YES! YES! It work for me!!! Finally my phone is update to WellcoM ROM! I download from the above link, and it contains the SUT L3 v1.7.4 instead of existing SUT L1 v1.7.0. So my problem was solved

OHH hehe actually i saw that you using SUT L1 v1.7.0 and i using SUT L1 v1.7.2. I didnt know that this will cause the problem . Sorry yah, i should have follow my feelings and inform you the differences. At least save you the hussle but on the other hand we get to know what the problem so that can help others with this problem . Lucky you
