The thing is don't want to deposit rm1500 every month into the account. Practically no interest. Also I don't want to pay for atm card. So if can open  a SCB account, i will close my truesavers. After all IBFT is always better than IBG.
*
Debit card is free, as in no annual fee at all. And you don't have to deposit 1.5k every month. You only need to do that to enable the 1% bonus interest as well as unlimited local interbank ATM free cash withdrawals. You'll be charged first for each local interbank ATM cash withdrawal and fee will be reimburse on the first day of the following month.

Nice. So withdrawal from SCB atm is still FOC right?
*
Yes. From own ATM of course it is free. Do however note that JustOne Personal account comes with two account numbers like AMBank True account. One is a savings while another one is a current account. However, unlike AmBank True account where both current and savings account are linked to your debit card, SCB JustOne Personal savings account is not. So every time you need to withdraw money from the ATM, you need to transfer money from your SCB JustOne savings to current first before you can make an ATM cash withdrawal.

JamesPond This is your original post that I first replied to. In your post you were asking if instant transfer from OCBC IQ Account is free.

You posted another question again on the same day and I also replied you on the same day. And one thing to be clear, your original post was about instant transfer from OCBC Bank iQ Account. My first reply to you was referring to OCBC Bank specifically. My second reply to you was still referring to OCBC Bank specifically.

Would u mind to share where is the source from? Can't find it at MEPS website.. If free IBFT, then will be goods for me to transfer fund now..
*
This particular promotion I was talking about isn't from MEPS. This is a bank specific promotion just like the one offered by Hong Leong Bank and UOB Bank. From the beginning he was asking about OCBC iQ Account. I do not know why it suddenly deviated to become a MEPS promotion. OCBC advertise this free instant transfer through their mobile banking app as well as website.

QUOTE(LNYC @ Aug 4 2016, 11:36 AM)
Be cool~

He is just trying to highlight to you the promo u mentioned might had expired.  blush.gif

I never talked about the promotion he quoted. From the very beginning I was talking about free instant transfer from OCBC Bank only as his question was about free instant transfer from OCBC iQ Account. Please refer to his original post that I first replied to which you can find in this post.

But anyway, thanks for your feedback. I still prefer free than paid.
Otherwise. GIRO is still ok. because i dont want to pay extra.

My comment is very much valid. Please check what did you ask on your original post that I replied to on 29th July. Thank you.

CIMB Bank offers similar security token but it is optional and with CIMB Bank, you have to 'purchase' the security token from them.

Did an IBFT last night. It was still free. This is a limited time promotion. The page could be displaying the normal IBFT fee should there is no promotion.

'' Sorry, we are unable to process your request now. Please try again later. You may also click on Message to report your issue or contact our Call Center at +603-7626 8899 for assistance. (2185) ''
Anybody getting this dumb message today when accessing
Hong Leong Connect  today ?
Their ''security picture'' (the one showing the bird, etc) did not
display on their log in page.

That is why I read time and again on the net ''Hong Leong Bank
is the worst bank around'' and ''Hong Leong sucks''.

The IT department who did that banking site are a complete
bunch of idiots.

Called their customer service line at the 7626-8899 and it says
'' We are closed on Sunday and public holidays.''

What kind of a stupid bank's call center closes on Sunday ?
What if someone uses their credit card and loses it ?

So I called their 1800 line, and, as expected, those young kids on
their customer service kept beating around the bush, blaming
my browser settings, etc etc, until I had enough and banged down
the phone.
*
I had no problem accessing HL Connect this afternoon.

How much is the charges for OTC instant bank transfer to other bank?
*
Had to do over the counter funds transfer to another bank a few times early this week. Was given only two options. Either IBG or RENTAS only. And RHB Bank limit each OTC IBG to RM100,000 only. So if you need to transfer more than RM100,000, you need to do it multiple times.

QUOTE(reeve-826 @ Jul 6 2017, 07:13 AM)
any bank currently still providing IBFT fees waived?

So far Bank islam is waived but already stop starting this month.
*
- HSBC (only from Advance and Premier account)
- Citibank
- Standard Chartered
- UOB Bank (certain type of account only)
- OCBC Bank (free unlimited instant transfer only through mobile banking until 28th September 2017)

Did Malaysians see a sudden increase of 80% of their salary too ?

QUOTE(galaxynote259 @ Aug 31 2017, 02:02 PM)
so i guess to transfer a bigger amount, it's either 'cheaper slower cheque' or 'instant more expensive RENTAS?'
*
The bank is the one determining the maximum amount you can transfer through OTC IBG. For instance, RHB Bank imposes a maximum limit of RM100k per OTC IBG request. If you want to transfer more than RM100k through OTC IBG, then you will have to do multiple IBG. However for Public Bank, there isn't a maximum limit imposed for OTC IBG. Previously I was told it was RM1 million maximum but my last visit to Public Bank I was told there isn't a maximum limit anymore. As for Maybank, I do not know if there was a maximum limit imposed for OTC IBG. But an acquaintance of mine was able to do an OTC IBG at Maybank for more than RM200k. However as the amount was over RM200k she had fill a form to satisfy BNM's request on exchange control.

Are the banks in Malaysia not reporting profit ? Is there a profit warning at Maybank recently ? A sudden increase of RENTAS fee of 80% is unreasonable. With more and more things shifted to online and electronically, the cost is actually going down. It is even more unreasonable when you see the cost of online IBG has gone down from RM2/transfer to only RM0.10/transfer before GST in recent years. Not only online IBG has become cheaper over the years, they have also cut down on the time to process each transfer too. It says a lot about the real cost of money wire in Malaysia.

It should be applicable only for Hong Leong Connect App on smartphones, not on computers, right?

Sigh, I prefer not to use my handphone for internet banking, because computer with antivirus and firewall should be more secure than smartphones.

Not very sure about this but you can try. They will show the instant transfer or IBG fee (if any) at the final page before you submit it.
