Hi, i transferred money from my cimbclicks to my friend maybank acc on sunday 9pm... But until now he havent receive his money.. Is it 3 days needed for IBG?
*
Sunday, 31 March ? The next day, 1 Apr was not a holiday. So he should have received it by evening the next day (Monday, 1 Apr 2013). Suggest you to check with CIMB Bank if the money is not in yet.

Not sure if that will have any problem but you can check your Citibank savings account online anytime from now to see if the money has been credited into your account.

is it only cimb allow instant transfer for IBG right now ?
*
Maybank also offers this instant funds transfer too. And also another two or three banks.

QUOTE(liquidsny @ Jun 1 2013, 08:11 PM)
i was thinking on signing up for public bank acc if they had instant ibg transfer
*
I believe Public Bank call theirs as Quick Pay. Service fee is RM2 for transfer to local and foreign Islamic bank. Foreign Islamic bank refers to bank such as Kuwait Finance House. Transfer to local foreign bank will cost you RM4. Examples of local foreign bank is HSBC and UOB.

Anybody did IBG from Standard Chartered Bank to other banks on 26 May (before 12pm) ? Did your recipient bank account receive the funds on 27 May ?
*
Good thing you mentioned this. I made two transfers out yesterday and none had reach the recipient accounts! Did you call Standard Chartered ?

Just an update. I called the recipient bank and the bank confirmed with me that they have already received the money. The money was transferred out from Standard Chartered on Monday morning (26/5/14) around 8am. So the recipient bank should have received the money yesterday. Not sure what's with the delay...

Hi all, I havent really read all those topic here but I have a question about GST.

If we use the instant transfer, do we get charge again with the GST? From what I can understand from the CIMB GST Faq,

the PDF file: http://www.cimbbank.com.my/content/dam/cim...s/GST%20FAQ.pdf

All transaction will be subjected to GST? like ATM withdrawal, bill payment etc.
*
1. Instant transfer - Yes. There will be a 6% GST on top of the fee charged by CIMB for this service

2. ATM withdrawal - Yes, BUT only if you use your CIMB ATM/debit card to withdraw money from other bank's ATM. The fee is RM1 + 6% GST

3. ATM or debit card annual fee - Yes. If you are currently using CIMB debit MasterCard, the annual fee you have to pay now is only RM15. Starting next month, you will have to pay RM15.90 (RM15 debit card annual fee + 6% GST).

4. Bill payment - only if CIMB is charging you a fee for making a bill payment via CIMBClicks. Otherwise there is no 6% GST

Hi I believe I may have been scammed. The person I am suppose to get the money from sent me a reciept that he made payment through Rhb Now Interbank Giro IBG to a Maybank account and the reciept has a single spelling mistake that says "Form" when it was supposed to be "From". The payment was made on Friday 3/07/2015 12:33pm and till today 7/07/2015. Is it normal or am i being scammed. Its a big ammount of money and i am nervous.
*
Now the daily cut-off time has been extended to 5pm. Since he said the transfer was made at 12.33pm last Friday, you should have received the money by 8.20pm on the same day.

Have you been scammed ? I can't give you a definite answer but i suppose the spelling error is a clue. Errors do happen sometimes. I experienced four delayed payments from Standard Chartered to Citibank and OCBC Bank last year. The transfers were made well before the IBG daily cut-off time but money was credited one day late. It is already Tuesday now and even if there was a delay, you should have received the money by now...

Is this any way to show a reciept or am i just too naive to have accepted this and believe him?[attachmentid=4563722][attachmentid=4563723]
*
You could call Maybank and quote them the reference number. See how they can help you.

And if you look at the attached images again. Besides th spelling error (form instead of from), it is written there the service charge is RM0.10 only. The service charge should be RM0.11 now inclusive of 6% GST.

Something like ATM5 or the OCBC/UOB Bank ATM arrangement in Singapore. Or like JETCO in Hong Kong. Definitely a welcome change rclxms.gif

We probably can expect Maybank won't be joining this "pool ATM" service, just like the case of DBS Bank in Singapore as Maybank has the most ATM in Malaysia already.

how this "pool ATM" service works? same like MEPS now we now in Malaysia.

ATM card can use at any ATM machine have MEPS logo?  hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
It is similar to MEPS ATM but without the fee.

A few examples:
- In Singapore, UOB Bank and OCBC Bank have this ATM agreement that allows customers from both banks to withdraw cash for free at either banks' ATM anywhere in Singapore.

- In Hong Kong, all the retail banks with the exception of HSBC and Hang Seng Bank are part of JETCO network and customers from either bank can withdraw cash at any JETCO ATM for free. Now this JETCO ATM is of course by far the best as pretty much all the banks in Hong Kong are in the JETCO network. HSBC and Hang Seng Bank aren't in the JETCO network because they are so big in Hong Kong so they don't need to pay JETCO any fee as their own ATM are almost everywhere in Hong Kong.

so it's means next year we have two type of service

one is MEPS while another one is the new "pool ATM" service.

why don't they give current MEPS FOC  hmm.gif  hmm.gif needed another new system  unsure.gif
*
It will be handled by MEPS just like now. The only thing they need is probably another "name" for this pool ATM service as not all banks will sign up for this pool ATM service.

Are the banks still charging for the giro n instant transfer for online ???
I not notice and find the transaction they charge for the service.
Last time the system will show the transaction fee during setting up/confirmation if the transfer. Now I not notice that.
*
They all do except HSBC (Premier and Advance account only), Standard Chartered, Hong Leong Bank (free until end of this year only) and UOB Bank (free until end of this year only).

Normally they will open a JustOne Personal account for you these days. MEPS GIRO and IBFT are both free for this account.
