You're saying that so they will be afraid and buy from you? LOL I've bought from element case for at least 3-4 shipments, each shipments i ship 4 cases. All no tax.

wow thats a low blow man. not once did he tried to sell anything here. he has shared more stuff here than your contributions.

s3an: does any of the vapor comp you handled attract fingerprints? or is it a matte finish.
EDIT: original vapors

Kudos to the XSP. Been using the SGP Ultra Crystal on my iPhone 4 then 4S and also my Note. Hairline scratches started to appear after a month use... sad.gif
After I finished all my two packs on the 4 and 4S, got a bunch of the XSP Crystal and Silk from Sean. Comparable clarity with the SGP Ultra Crystal yet tougher surface. Been using it with my 4S since November and the Silk with my Wife's iP4 and not as much hairline scratches compared to the SGP within the same period used.
More bang for the buck definitely! Really hope there's XSP for the Note as my Note's SGP looks like crap now...  biggrin.gif

when its time to change, get the SGP Ultra Optics and try it out. it'll pull its weight against anti-fingerprint SP in the market for its asking price. only downside is that there's a very minor zipping noise when you glide your fingers on the surface.

And I thought you were using SGP Ultra Oleophobic once upon a time? smile.gif

Thats like saying when buying a car don't change the rims. Just keep it stock standard.

Reasons for getting a case
1. not everybody works at a desk job like Gizmodo editorial team.
2. shit happens.. accidents happen.. overseas most floors are carpeted, even at home. here, not so. drop your iphone on tarmac and gg.
3. i like my iphone with carbon fiber, some like theirs with a vapor, some like the feel of leather, some just like to Gucci-fy everything they own.
4. if you scratch it now, you will live with that scratch for the next 2 years until you change the phone, worst still if its in the middle of the screen.
5. if you drop it, break it, there's no warranty.

EDIT: And Gizmodo is lame, read Engadget instead.

well i use case too, SGP thin air

i thought it would be a fun read

i read both but i personally prefer Gizmodo,

it was also steve jobs preferred website, he used to read the site 3 to 4 times a day until they revealed apple iphone 4 to public tongue.gif

if im not mistaken endgaget was founded by a former gizmodo editor

to each his own  thumbup.gif

indeed. i was taking shots at Gizmodo brows.gif
I feel like a retard using their layout.

Hey guys,
I need some advice on putting on the screen protector,,
I've a clear SP and a anti glare SP which comes together with a PowerSupport Air Jacket.
My query here is, will the PowerSupport  anti glare SP affect the performance of the Retina Display, like pixel-ize the screen..?
Coz currently im using a clear one, however its oily and looks dirty.... Need to wipe it oftenly..
Somemore when its under sunlight or indoor with nice ambience (many light above), i find it terrible to look the screen as many reflection of the light appear on my screen..

Thanks!
*
anti-glare = matte
anti-glare vs clear SP... anti glare will lower the optical quality of the iPhone 4/4s display. clear one, optical quality is good but if oil bothers you can try SGP Oleophobic -clear with anti-oil coating, which is like bare iPhone 4 glass, oil comes off easier..

if totally don't want to see oil, fingerprint & reflection..the Power Support anti-glare is what you should use. well.. if you want the best optical quality anti-glare/anti-fingerprint SP.. SGP Ultra Optics with the micro lens array is the closest to clear.

try your power support anti-glare first lo.. after a while you won't notice your screen quality sucks unless you put it next to another RETINA display doh.gif

well.. use the Power Support SP since you have it already. it is among the best of SP..I don't like it because its rather thick compared to SGP.

thanks for the reply. how about the smoothness? i remembered before i put on any screen protectors and even now my ultra clear sgp, i feel that there is a lot of friction going on when i'm playing games. When i used a matte one on my ipod it is so damn smooth. Does oleophobic gives the braking feeling or smooth one and nice for gaming?
and where can i get them at the cheapest price? i saw 1 set at 75 -.-
*
IMHO ultra optics would be suitable for your usage. downfall is that there's a faint "zeep zeep" sound when you run your fingers on the surface because of its micro lens array.

cheapest? pasar malam or sungai wang also can get, ~RM20. but those are fakes or the sellers like to call it "OEM". be aware lah, now all SGP products come with a serial number inside where you can verify the authenticity of it directly with SGP.

even original iPhone battery with strict Apple manufacturing standards also got chance to explode, why want to take risk with third party unknown manufacturers from China that OEM for a "brand"

battery is something I won't be cheap on. imagine talking on the phone and then having it explode in your face. GGKTHXBAI

if you really want to get I'd recommend something like this:
http://www.energizerpowerpacks.com/us/prod...zer-ap1201.html

at the very least these guys been making batteries for over a century.

Actually i was talking about this Pure Gear - Dual tek

What do you guys think? biggrin.gif

jesus effing christ my eyes. that thing just burnt through my skull. the dual tek looks gaudy as hell. totally destroy the clean minimalist look of the iphone 4
seriously if you want protection, go with something that looks industrial like the otterbox

and thats just what i think. one man's meat another man's poison.

well.. I have no issues with people liking or preferring fakes over the real thing. but many of these fake/imitation sellers try to misled people by calling it "OEM".. fake means fake la..what OEM.. don't pretend to be what you are not.

OEM element case means what? it uses the same aluminum as the original? LOL.

Those replicas/fakes element case are identifiable with original case.

The paint, the padding, the colour, and the linear are worse compare to original.

However, those fake element case are selling damn low price in US. Somehow seller in Malaysia are selling at premium price.
*
that's because in USA its sold as fake/imitation
in Malaysia its sold as OEM thats why costs more. icon_rolleyes.gif

hmm.
so people who use fake LV is because they feel real LV is not worth, and not because they can't afford it? hahahaha SURE rclxms.gif

It's not about worth it or not, its wanting to look like you can afford it but not willing/able to pay for it. thumbup.gif

To a certain extent of "whether it is worth it" is kind of true actually when it comes to iPhone cases.

I have 2 original Vapors, a Pro and a non pro and 3 fakes, 2 Pros and a Vapor Comp. Yet here I am preferring and currently using a fake Vapor Comp.

If you can get your hands on high quality fake Vapors they feel, look and protects your phone almost as good as the original at like, 1/4 of the price?
*
the same can be said about fake LVs, and fake Rolexes. it will function almost as good as the original. in fact, a fake Rolex with a Quartz movement is more accurate in timekeeping than a real Rolex. the price of an original Ralph Lauren can buy 10x fakes. And its just a Polo shirt right, why buy the real thing? both also made of cotton, both also cover body, both also got the kuda logo.

alas, this is what separates cheap bastards from the rest. justify all you want, you might be able to afford the real thing but you would never buy it, making you a cheap skate with no class. and don't call it OEM la, OEM my ass, just say its fake and I'm smart (or cheap, use whichever word you like) and its not worth paying for the real thing.

in your case, you own both so you can say whatever you want about the real thing and the fake. but a lot of people, having never owned nor used the real stuff would justify and say their fake shit is as good as real.
