Okay guys.. since I already found the best SP for crystal clear retina display and high scratch resistance.. because so many are asking for 'anti-fingerprint' (i still don't see the point in it) ... I wanna do a quick survey over here ok?

QUESTION: What properties do you look for in an anti-fingerprint (matte) screen protector??

does the apple store casing really genuine?
i heard some info from local telco dealer (selling accessories as well)
they selling a leather case for rm1xx
and the price they get from supplier just around rm20
almost same like OEM one

That's where the 'brand' issue come in.
Sometimes people think they are getting the better deal when they pay more.
When in actual fact they are only getting the same thing.

Those 'original' cases cost very little to produce.
Come one.. be realistic... a THIN SHEET OF PLASTIC (screen protector)
How much do you think it costs to produce? few cents only...

Jack up the price to RM100+ .. nice packaging... BRAND...
People will buy and smile and say "GOOD!"
So same goes with other items ie. casing... pouch... etc

agree. i got an OEM ultra thin sgp for rm15
i saw a stress test on this ORI sgp ultra thin case.
a guy step on the case and not broken.
i tested with my OEM one too and im 90kg+
not broken too!

people will say "you buy iphone 3k surely can spend on an original case for 100+"

Yeah.. but I can get the same 'original' case for rm15 too...
And with Rm100 i can buy 6 of those 'originals'

well...anti fingerprint of course the annoying thing about matte SP is the rainbow effect. that's the difference between cheap ones and the expensive ones. the rainbow effect on cheap SP is horrible. the more expensive ones are still there, but tolerable

matte SP looks better from the back and when the phone is turned off. crystal can see fingerprints, and i have oily skin

another issue is texture. crystal SP has more friction. say u swipe ur finger to the right, u can feel the texture pulling ur finger skin to the left. matte SP feels smoother, and i prefer that. it's something like glossy photo paper vs normal A4 paper

well one thing is, no apple store in malaysia those are resellers. im inclined to believe they do sell original stuff, since (i assume) they need to take care of their image. but of course there's a possibility it's fake

as s3an_looi mentioned, the quality is probably the same, even better sometimes. the cost to make casing or even SP shouldn't be so high. but u can see both ori and fake stuff selling for high prices. the difference is, ori stuff the profit goes to the case manufacturer. fake stuff, the profit goes to the shop

Have no experience with matte SP so i have no idea how the rainbow effect can look ilke on the matte. Anybody can post some photo?

Crystal SP more friction? Yeah last time i tried those branded SPs yeah you're right got friction. But i'm quite happy that I found the SP that has no friction at all and is super smooth to swipe.

Hope I can have more answers about the Matte SP on what people look for.

Yup, i really prefer the smoothness when touching on the matte surface. Really feel much more smooth than the crystal sp.

Profit none of consumer's business lol. I bought my 1st casing at machines store and i will never buy accessories there anymore. I saw garage sales someone selling the exactly same case at half price. I don think there are any difference in the quality, maybe just the packaging is better than OEM. My recommendation, go for OEM!

it's very hard to take a photo of it. maybe possible if someone has a good macro lens.

s3an_looi just wet a finger and rub it on ur phone's screen. u'll get those small beads of water all over. what happens is those small beads act like a magnifying glass, so u can actually see the tiny2 red, blue and green pixels on the screen. that's why it's called the rainbow effect, cuz it looks like rainbow

for matte SP, it's something like this, but the beads are much smaller. for expensive matte ones, the beads are much smaller until it's not that noticeable. of course the 'beads' is not water, just light refracting through the SP material

OH I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN NOW!
Like there are little rainbowy dots on the screen.
Especially most obvious when there is a white screen.

My friend bought one stupid matte sp when he got his iphone..
That joker paid like Rm100+ for that stupid plastic film.
Now scratch and puncture and bubble everywhere...

I told him I found some good sp for him to try

i think mine was rm80-rm90, for two front films. didnt have any scratch or bubble or what. the rainbow thing is tolerable (FOR ME).

My Crystal Clear SGP SP came with the original SGP casing that i bought. im still using it as it has protected my phone from knocks, scratches, bumps here and there. Not a single scratch. Touch wood

Yours is rare case... i've purchased around 4 sets sgp crystal clear... one is okay.. the other 3 .. scratch like crazy and the side glue doesn't stick very well.

got side glue?

Sure will have camera flash problem... the hole is too small.
You'd figure case makers would have picked up on this by now.

the new speck candyshell with its new cam cutout, sure no flash prob. haha.
