QUOTE(Shizuru @ Oct 13 2011, 02:07 PM) The MMS can't be selected because the APN type is set to MMS. Is set to MMS + internet then the select option will be appear but that's not important cos it should be like that. by right you should be able to received and send MMS already. what is your authentication type set to? Thanks Shizuru. Its PAP. The APN was sent directly from Maxis. |

Added on October 19, 2011, 12:48 am Sorry to hear that. maybe can go to maxis center and ask them to set it up for you.
finally found a solution from HERE. Apparently, GB has an issue with the APN with 'mms' only (to avoid heavy data charges) and most Ace & Galaxy S that have upgraded to GB from Froyo have ths problem. |
you mean before this you didn't enable your packet data?
when i was using froyo, i can select 'mms' directly under APN Type in the APN setting before enabling packet data (to avoid 3G data charges) and the mms will work. in GB you will need to select 'internet + mms' first, enable packet data, then only change APN Type to 'mms'. The Froyo method of MMS setting in the 1st Post of this thread no longer works in GB. i am surprised that other SGA users did not have this issue. |
