QUOTE(izzoe @ Aug 3 2011, 01:15 PM) But all those X8, Xperia x10 mini phone no update, stuck with eclair.. Samsung update all Galaxy mini, Fit,GIo, Ace,S, S2.. all also got update.. All my X8 friend RAAAAGGGGGEEE!! Lolz! The X10 series are all old phones. The Galaxy series are all new phones (except for S, but that's an ex-flagship with a huge following). Guess SE isn't interested to update old phones, even the new W8 uses Eclair, recycling the X8 OS. But this is besides the point, I was complaining about the roll-out speed. Our region X10 got the firmware about 3 days after roll-out, while the Ace roll-out started more than 2 weeks ago and we still hasn't got anything |

QUOTE(fuzore @ Aug 5 2011, 12:14 PM) i'm still hoping that this sod are more to firmware related than hardware related... back with froyo a lot of sod then 1st custom rom a few sod 2nd and third custom rom once a while now on V2X-2B havent seen one yet and hopefully wont ever please... i'm testing with my ace for three nights in row now with wifi on usually from 8 or 9pm till morning and still no sod but that might be lucky only so gonna see for the next few days result.. Are you using the same apps for all the ROMs? Earlier I suspected some app syncing during standby mode will cause SOD, but now I'm not sure anymore.QUOTE(danielcmugen @ Aug 5 2011, 03:55 PM) LG optimus one? it has a good battery life i think (better go google and find out more as i only read 1 review bout the phone and it said battery life is good).....cheaper somemore.....but slower processor and 3mp camera only if you dont mind The screen is also smaller. Gingerbread promised but until now no news from LG, almost a year since the phone was released already QUOTE(kuntaker @ Aug 6 2011, 12:42 AM) which widgets will show the actual battery bar %? when charge it shows 100% ( Battlife) after plug out , show 88% After you charge to 100, you need to wait some more until you hear a notification sound and a 100% appears on the left of the notification bar. |

To you guys who bought the phone recently, where it came with 2 back covers, what is the colour of the side chrome? Is it bright silver or gunmetal? There were 2 versions previously but not sure about now.

QUOTE(gitarburuk @ Aug 7 2011, 03:44 PM) however, i love my ace. for me this is the 1st time i'm buying a smartphone (newbie of this) eventho it just a mid rate (only that i can afford now). maybe in future will buy other smartphone that high rate...especially that supprot HD. Ace is a 1st Android for many people... after that they will know what they want in an Android, and they will upgrade. Ace still fulfills all my needs for now QUOTE(gitarburuk @ Aug 7 2011, 03:58 PM) i buy 2 month ago too...mine is silver chrome too at the side. i got 2 back cover. black & white. y u ask? Nothing lah, just curious. Mine is Onyx Black with gunmetal chrome. I was suspecting that the later batches are all Ceramic White with silver chromes. |

Sent an email to Samsung:
Hello, when will the official Gingerbread firmware be available for Galaxy Ace locally? It has been rolled out worldwide on 16th July. Thanks. Got the reply: Hi Pleasant day to you. ------------------------------------------------------------- Please be inform that, the Android 2.3 is not available for Galaxy Ace yet. Kindly refer to the Samsung Website at www.samsungapps.com.my or www.samsung.com.my for detail information. Shall you have any inquiry, please do not hesitate to contact Samsung Careline at 1800-88-9999. QUOTE(kiien_kyan @ Aug 9 2011, 09:35 AM) Samsung Kies is the PC sync software. Each manufacturer has its own: HTC Sync, Samsung Kies, SonyEricsson PC Companion, etc. The setup file should be in your microSD when you bought your phone, or you can download from the manufacturer websites. |
