QUOTE(syuki @ Jul 30 2011, 12:40 PM) Radio is some part of telephony service (like a service network etc etc) for your phone. For htc device, they called it Radio. If Samsung, they called it Modem (i guess so is there a need to change it? or rather why are people changing it?If your phone don't have radio, your phone is just a brick that you can throw to a cat. Added on July 30, 2011, 12:41 pm Yes, you need to downgrade your phone first. btw I want to root and flash my DHD to Honey3D So I have to follow the following steps is it? 1. post 6, number 8 2. How to Root and Flash (To Root) 3. Flash according to instructions posted by Honey3D at XDA forum correct? How do I make a backup of apps and contacts? For contacts I can just sync it from google yes? Thank you for taking your time to answer my questions |

QUOTE(syuki @ Jul 30 2011, 12:55 PM) @nivlanauk Yup using stock rom. Hopefully I will survive the torment Depends on the user. Diff radio give you a diff signal strength and quality. Matching radio (plus a RIL) also play an important part in your battery life. Now you phone using Stock / Original rom ah.. ? If so, then you need to downgrade first. Yup, just follow the step. Please follow it properly. Do not skip a step. |

QUOTE(snoopy5 @ Jul 31 2011, 07:14 PM) bootloader corrupt? I used the application provided in Syuki's link which says "RUN THIS FOR ROOT" > RUN THIS FOR DOWNGRADE > Root via Visionary+ > Radio-off > Attempting Easy S-off. All following Syuki's guideu mention tat 2nd attempt to downgrade bring u "update fail" oso, then suddenly can be downgraded to 1.32,izzit anything happen between tis fail and success process? Added on July 31, 2011, 7:46 pmShould I tick "I have Radio S-OFF"? This post has been edited by nivlanauk: Jul 31 2011, 07:46 PM |

QUOTE(snoopy5 @ Aug 2 2011, 09:46 AM) any1 help?monza? I'm using ROM Manager v4.3.3.0Added on August 2, 2011, 10:03 am wat is the clockwokmod version u using?wat monza means is there should be another options to choose from,my version there got advanced, inside it got wipe dalvik cache,so basically if u wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache those options wont make ur data/apps been wiped/deleted,oni wipe data/factory reset will clean all ur data/apps including ur rom. so i advise u always perform a nandroid backup(which is back up ur rom/setting/apps etc) before u flash other rom/other mod.u can perform this back up in clockworkmod recovery too.the options is backup and restore, then select backup.after backup it will store ur backup file in the clockworkmod folder. Does it mean that "clockworkmod backup" will backup EVERYTHING in my phone? So I hit the backup and then I can continue trying new stuffs on my phone? Edit: Found this great video This post has been edited by nivlanauk: Aug 2 2011, 06:27 PM |

I still need to know whether "Backup Current ROM" under "Backup and Restore" backup my apps, contacts and everything. If not, please suggest some app which will do the job |
