And also, before you root your phone, please do this first.
- Tick "USB Debugging" in Settings > Applications
- Untick "Fast Boot" in Settings > Power
- Choose "Never Turn Off" in Settings > Display > Screen Timeout.

tried as well earlier, the VISIONary + file are from the same source. couldn't get a permroot yet. sigh...

ps: android version 2.2 , is this the problem?

Before you did rooting, is there anything else you did to your phone ..?

And when you're using Visionary, got Superuser prompt or not ..? How many try you already did ..?

After temproot, there will be no reboot. Just after Permroot only got reboot. How about you do it once again.

is there a problem if im on 2.2 android? i think it's just the build number rite? Before this, it's all stock custom without any modifications, did nothing. when using visionary, no superuser prompt(no need install superuser also rite? it's in the visionary rite?) In my case, i doesn't even have a reboot after permroot, just tap and no respond, no lag, like nothing happen. tried almost 5-6 times, keep installing and uninstall and reroot again. googled around some of them on r14 have the similiar problem with me, some could get a reboot but no permroot.

Android 2.2 is one of the requirements to root your DHD. So should be no problem to root it.

You said "stock custom". What do you mean by custom ..? Have you try to boot into bootloader,
check whether your phone is on Radio S-ON or S-OFF ..?

hmm...how bout u reset factory and re-root again..

As I posted above, have you try to boot into bootloader ..? Check H-Boot, and Radio S-ON or S-OFF.. ?

if fail using vision.... try AMT... that one is damn easy to use...
