Interesting, My fully syn is reaching the 5k mark already, Will the existing engine oil be gushing out when you unplug the oil filter? Have you tried this before? Let us know, I am also keen to find out...thanks

How come you dont change the oil filter at the same time?

Just use fully synthetic oil and change every 10000 km. Oil filter also change every 10000km. Save all the hassle about going to the mechanic to change the oil and filter every 5000 km. The money you are going to spent is around the same. You will be saving a lot of time and will be using a much better oil than semi.

yes.. your engine will sound louder as some people use fully syn.. for me, i drive till 10K then service, they already test the engine oil for semi can last 10K... just bared with them... goes wrong then look for warranty

just done my 1st service this morning.the service center only have syn1k..hmm...next service i can still use syn3k rite?no harm whatsoever rite?coz i ask for syn3k they said they only have syn1k..

no harm , but next time  dont know i can bring my own oil or not, cause want try some real fully sync, do you all know mostly petrol oil marketed as fully sync here or mostly country cannot call fully sync oil in some country like germany?  it use Hydrocracked base oil classified as Group III base oil, while Amsoil line up mostly use Group IV base oil which is Polyalphaolefin (PAO) base oil and price i checked quite reasonable. Group V base oil is esters , which i found the famous one Motul 300V series which is freaking expensive, but got chance i want to try also. Torco SR-5 is Group IV and Group V base oil mix, expensive also , worth a try next time.

open new bottle,u pour 4l in ur engine first, then pour some extra , use the "ruler" to check again , if not enough then continue pour until it meet the mark lo, no need ngam ngam 200ml one.

Yeah I went there to fix my damper and the boss told me the same thing too. They don't plan to stock up s3k anytime soon cuz they got a lot of s800 . I bought a bottle of s3k to standby for my next service and take the s800 back for my wira.

I aked my usual mech as well, she say she'll charge me RM5 for service labour if i bring my own engine oil. Reasonable right?
