nakTT: I don't think it'll make any difference whether you search or not. Ultimately we want to make this to be a homely place, where people can freely share, rant and say out their good or bad things without being hentam balik in the face instantly. People should feel at ease, when they face problem they can find a solution by coming here. brows.gif . Even if you're not an inspira owner currently, feel free to drop in if you heard any news or u have any questions to ask or even just to get info abt the car. The taiko taiko here have been very patient with me even though I'm a car noob sweat.gif .

Said that, I forgot to snap pic of my glove compartment when I left for work!  doh.gif

Yes, we are just trying to keep a friendly community here. On and off we get some forumers who drop by and post some nasty remarks, etc.. Its not that we are pro supporters or die hard fans of proton but we just drive their car due to it meet our needs and within our budget range. We have done some homework before deciding to buy another proton car. So when some ppl just drop by and shoot blindly, we will naturally be defensive and shoo off these shallow ppl. Logical?

snowfish, I think your damper is missing. There should be an plastic absorber like thingy holding the side of the glove box and the dash area. Its like a mini plastic damper u have on your boot. Pls go back to your SA to claim it. He would probably "steal" from another unit in the yard. If you go back to SC, they will quote you that thing and deny warranty claim as they cannot ascertain if you took it out yourself.

Yeah Ok, I already inform my SA about it and he's looking for it for me already....dont care where he got it from i just want my damper back sad.gif.

So to all future owners, please check the damper. don't be like me like that, checked the big things but din't check the glove compartment thoroughly.

say....is it worth the hassle to install a light which will turn on whenever i open the glove compartment?

Can anyone snap a pic of their glove compartment with the damper? So that i can bring it to show the SA in case he find anything different...
*
Some of us has this installed.. diy by me.. hehehe... We also installed foot well lights and door lights (shine down when you open the door)... Quite nicely done, more for functional and not ah bengish..

See if I can snap this pic later...

Thats my concern too...

since I'm getting the Saga FLX

Please note Saga FLX CVT is from Punch Powertrain, not Jatco as in Inspira. Please follow the service manual for that CVT unit. Technically it works the same pulley system but oil could be different.

You meant fuel efficiency? I doubt it does a lot to improve your fc is your engine is underpower and car is heavy. Proton only dares claim 4% improvement in FC for the FLX in city drive...so in reality, maybe 2% only....anyway, 4%....not significant at all.
*
Maybe a smoother pickup and drive la... It did not claim FC good ma... just silky drive experience...

Wei, so tonite ffk or not? Who is coming? Daniel520 where? Ah ken where?

both different.. Saga FLX CVT is a clutch CVT, jatco's is a torque converter cvt
Then torq converter is smoother lor... but more power loss. Higher capacity engine not advisable to use clutch to sustain life of the belt. However both still uses pulley system for gearing. those you mention is power transfer between engine n gb only.

U never quietly stand next to him and whisper "bro, your INFO button have problem... look at the button in my car...!!!" meh???

Sharing is caring ma... he sure curse the SA if he knows its a install problem...

And Damn Plotong.... even these things that can be inspected VISUALLY oso pass QC and delivered to client meh...??? No wonder ppl cant trust Plotiong...
*
Ya, you should highlight to the owner or SA... Anyway they allowed you can enter a car to be delivered to customer? This could mean someone else could hv sat inside and poke the button until cacat...

I think i also have this problem maybe. Cause 1 day I start my car change to D, move and brake, suddenly got "trak" sound, but only 1 time i heard. dont know what is tat.
This sound the not the usual brake sound i can confirm, cause my car now when left the brake paddle a bit also have sound.
*
If you press brake while in P, you will hear that sound. Its the shift lock. If you keep pressing brake while in P (when car engine is idling, the shift lock will keep unlocking itself. Once you move out or P (to D or R), you will not hear this sound. (Google what shift lock is for).

Other sound you hearing from brake pedal ifself, even mine has but its normal for lancers too. If like its pumping something. Nothing to grease, etc coz its internal. Unless you keep trying to hear it, you probably will not. I only hear it when car is quietly idling. But why would I keep pressing brake when idling? When on the move, the car engine or road noise will drown it.

I dint try to press brake when P, I still don't know will like this. I don't have that habit too.  biggrin.gif
Because when I am from main road turn in parking, I slow down my car with brake (still in D), suddenly i heard "trak" sound, a bit like electric trak sound. So I shock. but only once i heard it. So I assume just so ngam only? haha..
*
Only once? So now no more? Sound from which part? Btw, u still need to press brake when in P to get to R or D... so still cannot escape shift lock sound.

Just doing my 1st K services last week..... SC changed the bush, now no more 'nyek nyek' sound in the morning.......
but i heard little 'trak trak' sound when i move to "D" gear and press the break..... unusually when traffic jam..... anyone got this experience before??
*
How long it took for you to change this bush? Need to remove whole absorber? Which SC is this?

Unfortunately, there's no official fix for this yet. But ckk125 seems to have fix the problem by changing the rubber or something a while back.

This is what ckk125 did. He just put a cloth there! (btw, ckk125, if you don't wish this to be shown, just tell me and i will remove it).
I haven't try it myself. I barely goes above 60km/h in city. Must go another outstation trip to test the car... icon_idea.gif

*
I almost fell off my seat reading this...

How did you tiong dugong at that speed in the city?? Lol, as if u hv not been outstation to test sound with your "occasional" burst of speed...

When gear was at P no trak trak sound, when i shift to D and press the break the trak trak sound start come out.....  doh.gif  is not lound but can hear it.....

1 to 2 hour..... no need to remove hole absorber.... at Senaxis SC....
The sound you describe is the shift lock sound. Senaxis has stock for this?? How is their workmanship? Someone posted their service sucks wor... Which mechanic attended to you? Better ask for this same fella... Since its this place means you can see what they do right, did you see what and how they changed it? Removed whole absorber, etc?

Is there a clearer picture. I cant exactly tell where to put the piece of cloth.
The pic so big di.. hahaha.. Anyway you have to remove the rubber lining on the door window sills to see this bare metal part where he put that yellow stuff (can be a double sided tape or some thin padding). After which you install back the rubber. Diff cars could have gaps at different areas.

Its a known problem for Mitsu, its even in their service manual on how to isolate the sounds.

Wow. is it always on the left side?? The diagram shows left side wor.

Hmm...is this from Lancer Manual? Can show it to Proton guys?? Nah...ikut ini procedure!!!!
*
Not sure, think they only showing one side as example la, no need to duplicate in manual if driver side right? Yes, from the manual. Btw, you know Msian's la.. where got read manuals? (Hint hint, u also mention you hate reading manuals.. hehehe).

Omnitech, you are welcome, this would help those with this wind problem. The steps show that you have to stick tape to the gaps to isolate problem first.. then final is what the fellow forumer did, stick something to fill the gap. Its also mentioned in manual what to use to fill the gap.

Does Inspira have issues with rubber trims becoming out of shape after only a couple of weeks in the sun? I notice this happens to all the Proton that I have owned, Wira and Savvy. Especially the ones around the window.
*
Unless they have localised the parts, it should not as Lancer has been in Msia for past 3 years. You can try look at their trimmings on the older lancer units. Inspira is about 9 months old now, I don't think it happened to any of them, yet; therefore survived the weeks or months in the sun so far.

So does this answer your questions if rubber goes out of shape in weeks?

I dun hate reading manuals....i just don't read them!!! Maybe got childhood phobia from 200 pages manual for stupid flight simulation game with crappy graphics which just shows you a sky(light blue), a sea (dark blue) and a line in the middle and ask you to imagine ur flying a plane...LOL.
*
So if you as a highly educated professional don't read manuals, you expect the SC mechanics to read? They don't even know how to look for it, hehehe...
