QUOTE(miuk @ Aug 25 2011, 04:36 PM) There's always a 'sniper' under the overhead bridge R&R before the USJ exit on the ELITE highway. According to the taxi drivers, sometimes they even camp in the restaurant itself with a window open. Oh you mean the 90km/h stretch before the 110km/h... So they are having their breakfast there la... No wonder so early timestamps... Thanks.I'm guessing boonykun uses the ELITE highway to work based on the time stamps of the samans. That stretch is a 90 zone. |

I took highway From Cyber -> End of road -> NKVE -> End to kepong -> Jejantas and Exit kepong... You can roughly time at 9.xx where u are.. that would be the spot... Seems your summon all abt that time. Better slow down at that spot man... no fun donating to them... Not sure. I rmb If you say the R&R Jejantas, not sure... if you say the one that has a Caltex after USJ exit, then.. yea maybe there. I'm heading to KL, not from KL -> KLIA This post has been edited by XCInspire: Aug 25 2011, 05:37 PM |

QUOTE(runemastertan @ Aug 26 2011, 03:26 PM) Hi all, 1. Burn in - It states in the user manual to drive it a varying speeds. However you know its not good to over redline it or maintain high speed for long period of time, eg 160 for 30 mins. There would be no real issue driving fast but sensibly during the 1K km period. Btw its Run in, not burn in as in PC terms.. I know that is it premature, but I just signed for the loan. A 2.0P Plum Red. Expected to get the car after Raya. Am doing research right now, but I couldn't get the information i was hoping to look for. I hope to get some insights from you guys. 1. Burn in - my previous cars recommends for a slow drive before 1000km service. But i read somewhere in the forum that hard driving actually gives a better performance in the future.....I am confused. Can anyone please verify this? 2. Anyone from the Pearl of Orient? Which SC is better/ which SC do you guys prefer to go? 3. Air filter - It seems that installing the air filter will increase the low end performance. Will any warranty for the car be void? How about the existing air filter? I'm a noob in car mods. Please spare me. 4. UR strut bar - It seems that there is some issue with this strut bar. The uneven mounting place in the car can cause the strut bar to crack prematurely. Anyone using other strut bar? 5. Anti roll bar - Some people recommends front strut bar, rear anti roll bar. Some recommends front and back for anti roll bar. Which is better? 6. Absorber - seems that the nyek nyek sound is caused by the sprint. Has proton rectified it already? When I test drive the car, there's no sound...... 7. Gearbox - A member recommends to change the gearbox oil once the car is out. Reason is there is small metal particles that is inside the oil that can damage the CVT gearbox. Another member said the oil with silver material is purposely added. So, change or not to change? Thanks 2. Snowfish is from penang 3. Correct, better low n mid range. The use of replacement filter (those that fit into our existing air intake box) are ok as long as they give sufficient ait filtering ratings instead of straight flow like washable stainless steel. Use reputable brands like KNN or HKS. For warranty, you can always refit back original filter when doing any claims. However if you choose Open Pod type, then it will be too obvious. Original air filter does its job well, but if you want a little omph then... 4. I am using UR bar, so far so good. I think that was an isolated case but news widespread. The news that went around still point back to the same case. 5. When you say anti roll bar is the one at the bottom connecting the 2 ends of the suspension. Inspira is using thinner ones to give it more flex that will give "better" road holding characteristics vs lancer harder version that gives you less roll but tendency to under/oversteer or "loose tail" aka drift. In the end of the day it depends on your driving style. There is no right or wrong setting. 6. This would have been solved by now and installed in new batches of Inspira. 7. For the cvt oil, you can follow the service manual to change at 80K or follow lancer's interval to change at 40K. I think most of us will follow the 40K interval to change. There is no need to change at 1K, a little paranoid. Just remember to use the correct oil type, CVT, not ATF.. It will be stated in the manual. Hope above explanation helps clear your doubts. QUOTE(Matrix @ Aug 26 2011, 04:36 PM) Question: Does it means better or worst FC? More air in, more fuel burn efficiently or just MORE FUEL BURNED?? FC same.. in fact could be better cause don't need to tekan so much to to move the car (less intake air restriction). Replacement filters are subtle unlike open pod. |

QUOTE(runemastertan @ Aug 26 2011, 10:52 PM) Thanks a lot for the kind replies. Yes, I've used KNN replacement filter for the past 6 months... Also installed RA replica snorkel which is wider at the front and cut the hole on the front cover. A few of us has done this and the result is better that srock (cannot compare to open pod). Sound is normal until you touch 3.5K - 4K rpm, u will hear a roar like sound. Some liked it cause mivec does not have any sound when switching unlike vtec, so this kinda give them the kick they want. After 4K the sound will quiet down again and will surge up to redline (if u pedal to metal). Don't think there is this vacuum problem you spoke about. XCInspire, do you use the aftermarket air filter? I saw from some pictures that member cut and add grill, with snorkel to their air way...kinda heartache when i see that since my DIY skill is almost nonexistent, but their is nicely done. Plus, someone said that adding in the snorkel have some effect of engine not getting enough air due to vacuum in some places inside the engine...so anyone who did it, did you guys feel any thing wrong? You can get this done at a shop in kepong, they will cut the hole nicely for you with netting to cover the hole. Am not sure if other shops has this snorkel now besides the kepong and vox JB. For KNN, cheapest we found is RM250. Sh@rty start to poison ppl di... Philips DRL how much? One of our member drl installed by u masuk air di.. how? Can claim? Welcome to all the new Inspira owners!
