I did searched before i'd decided creating one. Didn't find any Predictor League under your account?
Thanks for the compliment. I hope i've not troubled you much?

last season we only had about 10 players
during 1/4 of the season 1 of them fade away
during 2/4 of the season half of them fade away
from then onwards its only 4 players playing sweat.gif

its not neccesary but if u want, note in 1st page that
u welcome regular players ,not join and mia
either that u remove them from the league if they go inactive for a long period
cause it would suck to look at the league knowing there is 10 ppl but only 3 actively playing
one thing is for sure they fade from IKTS but still damn active in FPL

I'll be monitoring each 10 games, if all players are actively predicting. Otherwise, they'll get the boot..I've been playing this IKTS since the day one it was introduced.

Will strictly address the above issue to players. I would also welcome players comments and updates on the players , week in week out. Injury news, share pundits and let's bring LYN league the top scoring league.

Hope we can do this , this season..

Noted, 20 is the target. 10 would be easy to manage.

the way i see it, we already have 9 and with 1 1/2 weeks to go
we can recruit more, you can safely target 20 players now,
as there are probably a couple of last minute fellars
lets try 15 buddy icon_rolleyes.gif

you open a stand alone thread like this, publicity effectiveness 100% thumbup.gif

Those who wish to join , please pm me with your email address. I will send an invitation privately.

This league will consist of only 10 players, since there's not much response from fantasy players.

Remember, pm your : Email , team name.

Cool, we have the 14th player on the board now. We encourage more to join from the Gameweek 1. If anyone found not been active for 3 or more consecutive games , will be removed from league without prior notice. It's to ensure the integrity of the league. We need to make sure the our league to top the competition.

Reminder to team name "samlee860407". Please turn on the option , "Show your origin country", please..Many Thanks

well
just put la, jangan tak put, when they re-schedule that match
u will already have a prediction stand by, just in case u miss it...
but chances are low that u will miss it, if ure an active player..u will come across that match when it is time
that time u can change the score line again if u want

Who's the one who predicted that Man U would beat West Brom 6-0? LOL..

Anyways, lots of upsets this week. Let's hope that Man City don't mess up against Swansea tonight.

I've got 1 perfect prediction for Arsenal - Liverpool. I knew The Reds will beat the under strength Gunners side. I predicted 0-2 for RAWK..

Confident but you still put insurance chip on that game, bro? laugh.gif brows.gif

Good win by the real Reds. Arsenal in bad shape but didn't expect them to lose at home.

I had predicted the game sometime ago. I had the Insurance on it, i could have missed removing it. But at the end , i wanted to be on safe side. In heart says Reds will win, but confidence not shown on the board. Anyway, must gear up for the rest of the game tonight..

Everton in bad shape after losing Arteta and Beckford, but the two new signings - Drenthe and that Argie top striker sounds good. Probably would need time to blend in.

I'll go for a draw or perhaps a shock Villa win. If QPR can beat the Toffees at Goodison, why not Villa? smile.gif

But a tough call, nonetheless. Can put insurance chip there nod.gif

Toffees, still have good players at the club.
Still, with home advantage on Saturday and on the back of a morale-boosting win at Blackburn last time out.

I'm tipping Everton here 2-1

Skywire @ rawk32 is the true pundit - here put everton 2-1 but in the end predict 1-1 draw and get 20 points. That's good strategy. Hehe. laugh.gif

Quick, looks like you made a quick buck and 20 points there as well. notworthy.gif

Wish we had more banter among the members. A bit too quiet here.

Result of the week? I'd say Stoke's win over Liverpool. Didn't think that Liv could win there, but didn't expect them to lose. If Suarez had scored that last min chance I'd have got 30 points spot on. But in the end -10 doh.gif

I knew Darren Bent is doubtful , so i had changed my mind on Toffees v Villa prediction from 2-1 to 1-1 , still achieved 20 points. Initially i had place 1-0 for Arsenal v Swansea, changed my mind since they have better team now. Stoke v Liv , never expected result. But i knew Liv gonna have hard time. I have 2 predictions wrong this week, better than any season i played. The best was 2009..

Both mine last night went haywire. Didn't expect norwich to lose at home to WBA, and sure didn't expect Fulham to drop 2 points at home to a poor blackburn side. Oh well..

as for this week
almost all or rather all of the pundits out there is predicting a MU win this week
as much as i hate it, i am going for a MU win as well
personally i think there are only 2 teams that stands a fair chance to put MU winning streak to an end for the moment
City and Liv, this 2 teams die die also will suicide with MU sweat.gif
as for Chelsea
50m guy tak berfungsi, despite having good record against united....and drogba seems to be slowly fading out of the picture

i have a very weird feeling about spurs - liv game
it can go all 3 ways for this
home win, draw, away win..
what say you guys on this?

Missed the updates this week. Will do them tonight. I fancy Chelsea to nick it, although heart says its going to be top notch draw match. Spurs could go for a win. They are good at home. Liverpool are coming back strong with Gerrard's return (not as quick as the next match), they will want to forget the defeat at Brittania. I'm going for a draw 2-2 or 1-1

Matchday 5 Preview

The only other side with a 100 per cent record is Manchester City and Roberto Mancini will be looking to make it five wins from five on the banks of the Thames at Fulham. City marked their Champions League debut with a draw at home to Napoli in midweek while Fulham played Dutch outfit FC Twente in the Europa League. Martin Jol's side have made a sluggish start to the campaign but it is still early in his reign and he has plenty of time to get them going.

Tottenham earned a 0-0 draw with PAOK Salonika in the Europa League on Thursday - a competition Harry Redknapp has been none-too-shy about criticising. His side have three days to recover before Liverpool go to the capital on Sunday, looking to bounce back from their defeat at Stoke. Kenny Dalglish was certainly outspoken after the 1-0 reverse in the Potteries and these are two teams who will be desperately trying to break into the Premier League's top four this term.

Blackburn fans will protest against Steve Kean before Saturday's home tie against Arsenal, which is a lunchtime kick-off. Rovers have only earned one point from a possible 12 this season and a certain section of supporters are calling for his head at this early stage. Kean insists that he has the backing of the club's owners but another defeat and he could be the Premier League's first managerial casualty, which was expected in August. Arsenal earned a credible draw at Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday and are seemingly on the road to recovery after their Old Trafford nightmare.

Tony Pulis will be justly proud of his Stoke team after their draw away to Dynamo Kiev on Thursday, although the Potters were so close to a famous victory in Eastern Europe. Pulis had a number of players missing who could return when his fifth-place team go to Sunderland. For the Wearsiders the season has not gone according to plan so far. Asamoah Gyan's shock departure to the UAE has added to Steve Bruce's woes - he needs a win.

Two sides looking to bounce back from defeats last weekend are Norwich and Bolton, with the pair locking horns at the Reebok Stadium. Manchester United tore Owen Coyle's men to shreds and there were sure to be some heated words in the dressing room at the final whistle. Norwich, meanwhile, played well against West Brom but lacked a cutting edge in the final third. The Canaries will want to get their teeth into a shaky Trotters defence.

Newcastle currently occupy fourth in the standings after an impressive start, but they face a tricky encounter away at Aston Villa, who have been unspectacular but solid under Alex McLeish. Hatem Ben Arfa is close to a return which will be a boost to the Magpies, although Davide Santon suffered a knee injury in training on Thursday. Alan Pardew's men were held to a 0-0 draw at QPR on Monday night while Villa were fortunate to come away with a point from their match at Everton.
Yorkshire grit

A good start to the season for Wolves was ended last week after they fell to Tottenham, but Mick McCarthy has the chance to see his side get back to winning ways when QPR go to Molineux. This is a meeting between two Yorkshire managers who certainly do not mince their words and there could be some interesting verbals after the match in the Black Country. Rangers are slowly settling into life back in the Premier League and this one is difficult to call.

Unrest remains the order of the day at Everton but if the Toffees can overcome Wigan at Goodison Park then they will be well placed in the top half of the division. Question marks always remain over the Wigan defence, especially away from home, but David Moyes is now short of options up front after summer sales. A North West clash is always a spicy occasion, even if there is not really any bad feeling between these two sides, and the Everton board will be hoping a win can appease the dissenters.

Finally, Swansea will be desperate to break their goalscoring duck when West Brom travel to South Wales. The Swans had a decent game at Arsenal last week and could have snatched a point were it not for Danny Graham's profligacy in the final third. The Baggies have only managed three points from four games and, with the Liberty Stadium a tough place to visit, Roy Hodgson will know this is not an easy game.

QUOTE(Quick` @ Sep 16 2011, 03:16 PM)
almost all or rather all of the pundits out there is predicting a MU win this week
as much as i hate it, i am going for a MU win as well
personally i think there are only 2 teams that stands a fair chance to put MU winning streak to an end for the moment
City and Liv, this 2 teams die die also will suicide with MU sweat.gif
*
I'm a true Blue since 1994 and I can tell you that Man U will walk all over the Blues this Sunday. With the form they are in plus the fact that they are playing at home, even to get a point will be a tall order.

Man C is possible, but not Liverpool.

QUOTE(Quick` @ Sep 16 2011, 03:16 PM)
i have a very weird feeling about spurs - liv game
it can go all 3 ways for this
home win, draw, away win..
what say you guys on this?
*
Spurs win or perhaps a draw. Spurs are unpredictable at the moment. So is Liverpool's away form.

Spurs rested quite a lot of first team players for the Europa League trip to PAOK.

Man U in top form while Blues still adjusting to AVB's style of play. They haven't even got their first team line up sorted. Let's just hope it's not a massacre. sweat.gif

I'm predicting that's all. I think they have been fantastic in the last 3 games. The sort of form to bring in to OT.
Of course, hardest place to win though..

why not bro? for the past 2 seasons, Liv may have falter against smaller clubs
but against MU, they have been releasing it all...i think they had a fair cut of the pie against MU for the past 2 season
i think it is an understatement here to doubt Liv if they are capable of beating MU this year,
more like with the current squad they have now, bigger better stronger...
they stand even a better chance compared to the past 2 seasons
i may be wrong, but time will tell
but MU always bounce back from defeat real fast, i don't recall them having hangover after defeats from Liv or other clubs like City

The last Liverpool won at OT was in 2009 [1-4]. Outplayed United. That's the not the case now. They are much stronger and faster (United). It's hard to say games like this how a big team could go on and win against United. Unless sloppy play and reckless red cards.

i believe its hard for chelsea to win on sunday. i think most likely they will look to draw and get a point in old trafford. chelsea dont look sharp at the front.

at the current form liverpool is i also dont think they can do it to stop man utd. man city can maybe outscore man utd tho but i saw the game man c vs napoli. the defence was a joke. all over the place, offensewise they are awesome dzeko, aguero tevez ... crazy

I read your post again and I think I misunderstood you. Now I know you meant teams who can put Man U's winning streak to an end as in games. I thought winning streak of titles - hence teams who can give them a run for the title. Sorry notworthy.gif

Yes in that case, surely Liverpool would be in the mix. I agree with you that Liv always give it 110% vs Man U. wink.gif

Let's see if Chelsea can pull a rabbit out of the hat this weekend. Bad time to play Man U, seriously. Sigh. sweat.gif

If Drenthe didn't score the 3rd Everton goal in the 7th min of extra time I'd have 20 more points (exact score 2-1), and you'd have 15 less points, bro. laugh.gif

Rawk you've steadily climbed up the leaderboard. Just a whiff away from me. I think I'm gonna kena teruk the rest of this weekend. Hehe. smile.gif

Added on September 18, 2011, 7:05 pmOn another note, how come my banker bonus is back to 0?

Shouldn't it be 15 and if I get it right again this week i'll get 20? I've never got my banker wrong so far. Sigh.

If you place your Banker correctly your Banker Bonus for the following week is credited with +5 points up to a maximum of +20. If you place your Banker incorrectly, your Banker Bonus is reset to zero for the following week. If you decide not to play your Banker your bonus will be protected but you will not score your bonus for that Gameweek

I understand the rules, bro, but as I had said, I never got my Banker bonus wrong previously. So, it ought to have continued for this week. It was reset to zero although last week it was +15.

Doesn't matter anymore as Man C blew it against Fulham, so my Banker bonus is back to zero.

Not a good week for many. Even the overall leaders didn't fare too well. Zero points would actually be good! smile.gif

Try emailing the Talksport and inquire about the point system. As for this week , the highest score was 75. It must be a tough week for the overall leaderboard as well.

I played my predictions based on last 4 games performances and statistics.
The score may have not been accurate, just got some results right..

20 is max you will get. When you place your Banker for the 1st time, (if you get it right) it starts at +5. If you keep placing banker correctly, it will accumulate each week to the max of 20 , as said earlier. If you place your Banker incorrectly, your Banker Bonus is reset to zero for the following week. If you decide not to play your Banker your bonus will be protected but you will not score your bonus for that Gameweek.

It's pretty straight forward , to be honest

Just an example, i placed my Banker wrongly on the GW 1, the next gameweek it has been reset to 0. The following GW , i got it right (not the result, but prediction W/L/D), and you could check the following GW till date, i got them right, and it has accumulated to +20.

Last gameweek you did not score as you had Insurance & Banker on 1 game. It's reset to 0 and reflects on the next game instead the current game you scored none. If you place banker correctly this weekend , and if you get it right, it will accumulate to +5

okay nailed it!
thanks bro

Hope you are clear on the banker part. Insurance is easy, u predict correct score 30 pts, predict score with goal difference 15pts, only correct prediction 10pts, wrong prediction it covers your mistake with 0pts (non accumulative point)

Gameweek 6 predictions are up. Open for discussion

Everton vs Liverpool
and
Spurs vs Arsenal

this 2 games , going to be the tricky ones to predict
i am going to be bias on my team and go for an Arsenal win this time around
especially when the ref wrongly disallowed RVP goal last season at WHL
which arguably would be one of the top goal of the season
butthurt maximum

as for Everton game, really gotta think deep for this hmm.gif
from your page 1 tips, majority going for Everton win?
it can go all ways, ima check their H2H record first
as it stands my mind is against the Page 1 majority,a Liverpool win for me

Two massive derby match over the weekend. And it's definitely gonna make us stick on the seat for this encounter. It's hard to say with imbalanced performance from Spurs could prove costly if they don't buck up against Arsenal. But they are dangerous. Remember what happened to Liverpool during the 4-0 win at WHL. Spurs will give hard time for Arsenal, but i'm still going for draw with the London derby.

Merseyside Derby, a massive massive massive ones. Every Everton & Liverpool fan will be gearing up for this. I'm one of them. Just hate the Toffees!
Anyway, Everton was a team stronger before this season, after losing Arteta , the man the require to run the show, they look sluggish and weaker. If Kenny puts in a strong attacking lineup , it will be difficult for Everton. I'll be still taking a shot on Everton to win this, with the form lately they are , but i'll keep my options open till the match day.

Spurs 3 Arsenal 3
Everton 1 Liverpool 0

Alternative predictions

Spurs 2 Arsenal 1
Everton 1 Liverpool 2

rage, so godamnn pissed at myself...
i already set my prediction for Villa game at 2-0

i don't know what inspired me to change it but around 6pm i log in my account and change villa game to 3-1
and there is where i put my banker/insurance is at
45 instead of 90, otherwise back to back awesome 90 points d.
i think this week quite good points also, more then 100 atm, hopefully the remaining games tonight
will go smooth sailing, id take 10 pts from each game tonight! that's all i asked

Hey guys I have been following the thread but I thought this week no discussion coz international break.

Anyway I'm not faring too well the past two weeks of predictor. The funny thing about this game is that if you have one bad week, someone else who was 150 points and 10 places below you can also catch up and overtake you! sweat.gif

True, the low scoring players can go down the table easily if one can score 150 above.

my mind is set on either a Liverpool win or a draw 55:45 ratio
no away win this time, and no my insurance/banker wont be here
nanti naik kereta, habis banker bonus laugh.gif
United is the champs after all, so who knows

as it stands i cant make up my mind just yet, still 50-50
if Captain Gee start a full 90, i will go for a Liverpool win, otherwise a draw
still googling for stevieG fitness news

I'd rather have him on the bench. Get a goal at half time. Finish off the game with another goal at 2nd period.
It's definitely going to be a fierce contest tomorrow.

lost my continuation banker bonus upon putting it on Liverpool sleep.gif
sorry sky, but they kinda suck this week
got me wondering why the hell does Liv @ home gets multiply x3, where else us Arsenal and MU at home is only at x2
thought it was bias, but the reasons are pretty clear now

hopefully i can strike one accurate prediction for the remaining 3 games tonight
need to keep the so called pressure laugh.gif

It depends on the IKTS system. If derby match , it would be x3. I wonder how Liv match gets x3 although not a derby

Chelsea 2-1 Liverpool, no insurance.

Spurs at home to Villa looks viable for banker chip.

Other fixtures seem close to call.

Can City beat Toon? Might look safe but Toon are playing tight, tactical football.

Otherwise here 1-2 to Liverpool, Spurs should win comfortably at home. City likewise can look forward for their win at home against Toons. It's about time Toons drop points against big clubs. They see Chelsea and United next , i guess..

LOL! Got ratio one? What a horrible match last night. Lack of pace and energy from both sides. doh.gif

Chelsea didn't deserve to win but Liverpool didn't play that well to deserve to win as well!

What do you mean by least favourite got his prediction right? Check what was the final prediction placed, not what is written here. I stuck to my guns though. laugh.gif

no la, just my ratio i came up with

Dario : 2-1
Me : 1-1
Sky 1-2

as chelsea equalize 5minutes into 2nd half, clearly the momentum was with chelsea to go on and win it
thus i put u as favorites to get your prediction right on the 55th minute
as it went to 80th mintue
i was clear favorites
till Liv stole it on the 88th minute....sucker punch to my face.

Lucky week for me. Blues didn't manage any goals in 2nd hlf and 3-0 was spot on for 90 points. I noticed that quite a lot of ppl banked on arsenal to beat fulham, includ our overall leader. Poor chap lost his banker bonus also. sweat.gif

Fulham does upset big teams sometime. They did it again. Too bad did not manage to score this week. Will update the topic and leaderboard.

At the form Arsenal was in, plus Fulham's woeful away record to Arsenal (and their OVERALL woeful away record), it all pointed to a comfortable home win. Looks like all the top teams except the Blues dropped points.

Kudos to Liverpool for holding City. In fact, if not for Hart's marvellous saves, the Reds could've scooped up all three points. smile.gif

Newcastle v Chelsea is going to be hard to predict. Doubt if Blues can pull off a win so perhaps a draw would be a considered a good result already. I seriously hope they don't lose as the gaffer is under so much pressure already.

Aston Villa vs Man Utd - MU shocked at home by Crystal Palace in the Carling Cup. Fancy that. I think Villa can hold on for a draw. MU have not won in their last 3 matches in all competitions.

Man C v Norwich - the question is - how many goals will the Canaries be plugged! LOL

Chelsea should be doing the necessary to ease the pressure on AVB, besides i believe Torres hasn't contributed much. Newcastle should be stronger at home and they are consistent at home ground. I doubt chances for Chelsea to grab all 3 points , a point could be a fair result for both. United has been shaky lately and they could downfall at Villa Park. Norwich has proven they are not the whipboys! So City could struggle with free flow goals..

Haha, Arsenal fan listen to Chelsea fan's advice? Anyway, we both kena kelong this week. sweat.gif Whatever I posted here is the same which I predicted. No talk cock. smile.gif

If not for banker bonus I'd be in the negative doh.gif

I switched two predictions last minute:

1) Ast 1-2 Man U switched to (1-1) doh.gif - after Man U's shock defeat to Palace - loss of morale, I thought.
2) Wolves 2-1 Sun switched to (1-1) doh.gif - after Martin O' Neill's appointment as manager though he only starts work next week. The new manager factor couldn't help save them I guess.

Gonna stick to my prediction for today's game. No more last minute switch. In any event, got my insurance chip on it so no more deductions for the week. sweat.gif

I've got 1 correct prediction , Spurs 3-0 , unfortunately didn't place my bankers bonus on it. Me too sticking with the prediction for the game tonight. The last outing at Craven Cottage, Liv thrashed Fulham 5-2. Based on current form , Liv should comfortably win on tricky Fulham.. mine would be 2-0 to Reds.

a rather difficult game week for me
for some reason, I'm on the fence for a lot of games
no heart to put either side win, but draw for quite a few games
but i know, this is going to be the big difference if i can get it right...
need to get this type of game right, otherwise can not chase rclxub.gif

matches like

norwich - castle
swansea - fulham
sunder - blackburn
stoke - spurs
heck,even considering draw for chelsea-city
but i think i am with Dario on this, time for city to lose!

i cant be putting all these matches to draw can i rclxub.gif
gotta figure it out,
hard game is hard game

Bro,

On second thoughts, I might go for a draw for Chelsea-City, which I think is a good result already. Morale might be a bit low for City after the exit from ECL, but who knows, they might just bounce back with a vengeance. Chelsea has lost to Arse and Liv at home already. Stamford Bridge ain't the fortress it used to be under Mourinho.

Other games - I fancy Sun to beat Blackburn. First game for new gaffer, so surely the semangat must be there.

Other games to close to call and a draw is quite a safe bet.

I lost 10 points there but who cares as the joy of watching Chelsea be the first EPL team to serve defeat to City was priceless! laugh.gif

Hope this would be a downward spiral for City. Out of ECL and now lost their unbeaten record. Gotta keep the title race interesting! nod.gif

City at home not invincible. If gunners can beat Chelsea at the Bridge, surely they can upset the form book at City's home turf. At least grab a draw and slow City down a bit.

Arsenal fans - any confidence that Gunners can get anything out of the game? Speak from the head, not from the heart ya! biggrin.gif

What a horrible week! Blew my banker bonus and already -50 after one day. Plus Chelsea's miserable draw at Wigan last night. What a clanger by Cech doh.gif

Looks like a lot of us went wrong on banker bonus and in the negative. sweat.gif

Quick, I'm gonna wish for a draw for the Man City-Arse game. As for prediction, gonna wait til last min and check out team news before deciding on draw or home win. Being the Arsenal fan you can have the honour of boldly predicting an away win. laugh.gif

No wonder your banker bonus and insurance chip were unused. Weird huh?

Honours even at White Hart Lane this morning. I actually thought that Blues would lose and predicted a 1-2 defeat. Glad they came back with a point at least.

dafuqqq why would i predict MU to draw
i don't recall doing that, really wasted le, otherwise i would have gotten say 100 pts or so from that gameweek

Finally, a high scoring round, although Chelsea messed up again!

Would've been much better if Stoke had beaten Wigan 2-1. Late penalty scored by Wigan and 30 points gone in a jiffy.

I learnt my lesson earlier in the season to not put banker on Liv. Very unpredictable team, both home and away. Also for Bolton, for that matter. Quite a shocking result.

Not an easy week to pick banker. Mine was Stoke-West Brom but even that was not certain so I parked my insurance there too. Another surprise as baggies came up with last min winner.

Tonight's matches ought to be interesting.

Haha. Everyone's doing a bit slow la. Not helped by unpredictable scores these past weeks. Who'd expect Wolves to be thumped at home by WBA? Or for Bolton to lose at home to Wigan who are poor travellers? Or Swansea, who can beat Arsenal at home, but lose to Norwich at the same turf. Ridiculous!

a tough one for me to predict being a GOoner
this game could very well go all 3 ways home win, draw, away win
i am really tempted to predict a lost for Arsenal for the very first time

p/s: have u guys ever predicted a lost for your own team? laugh.gif

Spurs will take it easily. Yes I've predicted a loss for Blues before. I think vs Man U earlier in the season.

Sorry I thought Spurs was at home. Since it's at the Emirates, I'd say a draw would be fair.

Bad day for me yesterday. Last minute change of banker from Chelsea to Newcastle. doh.gif And I changed from 3-0 to 2-0 for Chelsea as well. doh.gif

Kelong la last night's Arsenal-Spurs game. How on earth did Spurs just crumble like that. Weird.

Added on February 27, 2012, 1:03 pmMajakita had a great week. I'm predicting that he'll be no.1 next week at the form he's at.

I still believed that Arsenal could come back to snatch a draw. But when the 3rd goal went in so easily (Ledley King was ball-watching like an amateur), I knew that they would win. But to put in another 2 without reply is seriously dodgy to me. How could Spurs just collapse like that? Hmmmm

Just like how you guys lost at Swansea? Or the thrashing at Milan? Was it 0-4 or 0-5? tongue.gif

Anyone surprised that Sunderland got whooped 4-0 at the Hawthornes? West Brom had lost their previous 3 or 4 games at home coming into that one. Probably the return of Peter Odemwingie has brought them luck. smile.gif

I reckon a good game this weekend from the lunch hour encounter between two CL spot seekers. I reckon Reds edging Gunners by 1 goal.

Liverpool winning the Carling Cup is a boost of confidence, same goes for Arsenal in their derby win
to me it depends, i red some news RvP picked up some groin injury, he might not be able to face Liverpool this weekend
if that happens, if am a Liverpool fan, id fancy my chances

otherwise if Arsenal is at a semi full team, vice versa we edge it by a goal 2-1
put it this way, in my mind now is at
30Liv 40draw 30Ars
if RvP is fit, 20 50 30

it could go all ways for this game, exactly how i felt for Arsenal - Spurs

Will update the leaderboard and weekly high scorer tonight. I guess it's going to be Reds all the way pushing Gunners till the end. It's going to be a different ball game completely after a major silverware in 5 seasons..

Almighty dariofoo? doh.gif rclxub.gif

Awesome performance by majakita over the past two weeks. Respect the fact that he put his banker on Stoke 1-0 Norwich. Brave guess. I'm putting my banker chip that he will end up winning the lead. Scratching my head now wondering how to overhaul his almost 200 points lead. sweat.gif

Another bad week for me while majakita rolls on ahead of the pack.

One thing I've realised is to trust your first instinct. Early last week I submitted my predictions and put Bolton-QPR 2-1 and also Sun 2-1 Liverpool.

Then on Saturday night, hours before kick-off I changed it to 1-1 for both games. I thought that Cisse's return for QPR would make a difference and also thought that Liv could hang on for a draw.

Ended up losing points there.

Oh well.

Instinct was for a 2-1 win for Liverpool. Had an itch to change it to 1-1 bearing in mind Liverpool's poor recent form and Everton's good run. In the end, I decided to stick to my instinct that Liverpool would still win and true enough, Liverpool's good form at home in the Merseyside derby continues. I guess derby matches cannot be predicted based on form. Teams really up the ante when it comes to derby matches.

3-0 was quite the thrashing. At least Everton know where they stand now. Haha.

Instinct prediction is 2-1 as well for me
never in my wildest dream i would put a 3-0 for Liverpool or even a 2-0
looking at Liverpool form, derby game and their records against one another i feel 2-1 seems just right

well despite Liv winning 3-0, imo it was quite a flattering scoreline
cause i felt Everton played quite well, just that they did not take their chances
every other day the score line would be 2-1 laugh.gif laugh.gif

i have been dreaming all this while men, big time
just realize that the if your Bonus is at +20 each week, that's a whole lot of points over a period of time
10 game week = 200 pts already,
The leader has been getting 20 pts for quite a long period of time

i ALWAYS gamble all my banker on a X3 match
thinking to hit a 90 week in week out

it just struck me so hard, that if i were to put it on more-certainty-like game X2
i would have gotten a whole lot of extra pts instead of missing a 90 week in week out

It all boils down to luck la,brother. You can put on x2 or x3,but at the end of the day, whether the goals go in the net or not is out of our control. Our great leader also got his banker right for 3 consecutive weeks and amassed like 500plus points in those 3 weeks to storm up the table and sit where he rightfully belongs.

There's 5 more weeks to go. If you can hit 150 each week that's 750 points. I think you can win it too, boss. biggrin.gif

Yea i know, the ball is round
but what i'm trying to say is put my BB on Safer matches like:
MU vs Wolves x2
Arsenal vs West Brom x2
Chelsea vs Blackburn x2

Do this week in week out, i reckon we stand a better chance in maintaining, better then putting BB on the below

Sunderland vs Everton x3
or
Newcastle vs Tottentham x3

i think you get what i meant, i have been doing all this x3, not only fail to hit 90 but losing on banker bonus, damm rugi
this week i really tempted to put my BB on Sunderland game X3,
after giving it a thought,i changed it to Arsenal x2

score 150 for the remaining fixtures? crazy sweat.gif
i will be contented with UCL place atm, stuck at 5th.....Malaysia86 is not cracking

Chelsea is on sky high after beating Mighty Barca in UCL , and i think this gonna be a draw game as Arsenal could be looking to recover from their home lost to Wigan. On the other note, United will be looking to stretch their lead to 8 points as they are facing the FA Cup semi-finalist Everton, who would be looking to grab at least a point at OT as much as they need to secure the table above Liverpool, while Liverpool will be looking at keeping their momentum for the visiting Hawtorns.

Chelsea is on sky high after beating Mighty Barca in UCL , and i think this gonna be a draw game as Arsenal could be looking to recover from their home lost to Wigan. On the other note, United will be looking to stretch their lead to 8 points as they are facing the FA Cup semi-finalist Everton, who would be looking to grab at least a point at OT as much as they need to secure the table above Liverpool, while Liverpool will be looking at keeping their momentum for the visiting Hawtorns.

my heart tells me that it is a draw but my mind tells me i want to predict an Arsenal win
will see on the very last minute, who will prevail....Heart vs Mind laugh.gif
Dario as a Chelsea fan, i see no reason why he wouldn't predict a Chelsea win as well

Haha. In fact, i think arsenal should easily win this one. No drogs, lamps, mata n cole. Chelsea also have an eye on next tues' return leg at barca. Heart hopes for draw but i keyed in an arse win.

Yeah Arsenal had more chances though you can see that they don't have much of a drive in them to really punish the Blues. Probably they are content on hanging on to third place and see out the season.

Good point for the Blues since many players were rested and even those who were playing probably were on tiptoes to avoid injury and missing the crucial second leg vs Barca.

Overall a good week for me since I kena spot on 2-0 banker for City vs Wolves.

Sorry brother the only troll I know is the the cave troll from LOTR ;-) Anyways, what's the prediction for Villa vs Bolton tonight? Two horrible teams to predict. Villa is completely useless this season and Bolton is playing like crap again since Muamba has recovered, pretty much. After the incident they were on a roll, like 3 wins on the trot or something. Now looks like they've started to slide. I backed Villa to put away Sun on saturday but a snoozefest 0-0 was the result.

same la i also put villa to beat sun 2-1 as well,

i dunno how to predict this sort of games at this stage of the season any more, somewhat conceded
we often say teams should pick more points at home
but Villa seems to loose that stimm, don't talk about winning games..scoring goals is a problem for them
Nzgobia had more then enough time to gel up, doesn't seem to work for him
if they relegate this season it's the definitely because of the departure of their wingers down and young

but i think i'd still got for a Villa win
reason: they gotta win whether they like it or not.....how they grind it, controversy or whatever they do..they gotta pick up 3 pts tonigbht
a draw or an away win is very possible as well

anyway, put PL a side la, why look at PL when we have
Barcelona - Chelsea brows.gif
what do you think about this? brows.gif

Trolling! Kidding...

Barca will steamroll over the Blues la. Nou Camp is the lion's den. Once the first goal goes in the floodgates will open. I still have no idea how Barca failed to score in the first leg. I don't think lightning will strike twice for Chelsea. Unless it strikes them directly. Lol. Anyway, at least we got further than any other English team. Plus the fact that we accomplished it with a new manager. Am proud of the Blues. icon_rolleyes.gif

Aiyoh brothers I had such a good month but fell 30 points short of 1st place for month of April. I finished joint 3rd place. Am happy with the achievement though. Just wondering, assuming that I finished first, would I be entitled for the prize? Or is it for UK residents only? hmm.gif

On another note, it's the FA Cup final ! Dev, how about a side bet? brows.gif

No bet. Chelsea has little to do to win at Anfield and chances of qualifying to Champions League, if you lose to Liverpool.

I don't get what you're trying to say. No bet? My post was before the FA Cup final, bro. Haha.

Tmr's fixture is a dead rubber. If Liv is interested they will take it. Blues have one eye on the final next week. No one will risk injuries. Like how they folded vs Newcastle at home.

No way they can go for 4th place as Spurs are in pole position to finish 4th.

So I think Blues will conserve energy for the final next week and field a second team.

So if Liv wants to exert some revenge, here's their best chance.

Bayern is waiting at Arena for Chelsea !! On the other note.

Sad ending to the season , seeing Rovers relegated after 11 years in Premier League. Liverpool ending with one trophy in cabinet. Chelsea could also end with 2 trophies (if they manage to beat Mighty Bayern). United , Arsenal, Newcastle, Spurs could all feature in Europe next season but which European Cup, only last day wraps up every drama.

I could see Chelsea ending up in Europa if they dont beat Liverpool tonite, if Arsenal and Newcastle wins the last game.

Actually Chelsea has secured their Europa place by winning the FA Cup. So has Liv by winning the Carling Cup.

In the EPL, top 4 is for ECL, while 5th place goes to Europa. I think Newcastle will take 5th place and Spurs will be 4th. So even if Chelsea finish 6th , they qualify as FA Cup winners.

Here's what I got from wiki:

As of the 2009–10 season qualification for the UEFA Champions League changed, the top four teams in the Premier League qualify for the UEFA Champions League, with the top three teams directly entering the group stage. Previously only the top two teams qualified automatically. The fourth-placed team enters the Champions League at the play-off round for non-champions and must win a two-legged knockout tie in order to enter the group stage.[27] The team placed fifth in the Premier League automatically qualifies for the UEFA Europa League, and the sixth and seventh-placed teams can also qualify, depending on the winners and runners-up of the two domestic cup competitions. Two Europa League places are reserved for the winner of each of the domestic cup competitions; if the winner of the FA Cup qualifies for the Champions League, then that place will go to the runner-up, and if the runner-up is also already qualified, then that place will go to the next-best placed finisher in the Premier League. If the winner of the League Cup has already qualified, that place goes to the next-best placed team in the league.[28][29] A further place in the UEFA Europa League is also available via the Fair Play initiative. If the Premier League has one of the three highest Fair Play rankings in Europe, the highest ranked team in the Premier League Fair Play standings which has not already qualified for Europe will automatically qualify for the UEFA Europa League first qualifying round.[30]

Di Matteo will surely rest his best players to prepare for the final in a week's time. So it will be a weakened and unfocused side. Remember in Chelsea's last game before the FA Cup final they lost 0-2 at home to Newcastle. Similary, Liv lost to Fulham at home. So it's natural for players to not be focused on this minor game and focus on the big one.

On paper, it points to a Liv win. But let's see if the Reds are interested to go for the win or whether they are in holiday mood already. If holiday mood probably we're looking at a dull draw. smile.gif

Wrong game, mate. FA Cup final was last weekend. Pity that they failed to turn up on that day, or else we'd have a more rousing final.

Good win. Ought to have been a rout. Perhaps 6 or 7 goals. Haha.

Cheers, guys.

Lucky, I guess, coz Majakita had a 200+ points lead going into the last 3 weeks, I think.

Sky, who were the winners of v1 until v3? Just wondering.

Quick - tips? I think it all boils down to luck. As you can see I was ok at first, then started to stutter in the middle and in the end had good luck with Banker points which helped me boost the total.

One thing I can say is that I always follow my head, not my heart. So, don't be afraid to put your fave team for a defeat/draw, and don't play banker on your fave team for the sake of it. Apart from MC's home form, I can't say any other team has been consistent at all this season.

Looking forward to V5.

My first placing would be the banker chip to identify the best match. Sometimes I change it at the last minute also.

Not easy to bang exact score, but to get it right increases the bonus which makes big difference in your total score.

Another tip I learned from you - put insurance and banker on same score. If you lose, at least it is 0 as opposed to -30 or -20. That would be for results which you are not really that 100% confident can strike. icon_rolleyes.gif

Another tip I learned from you - put insurance and banker on same score. If you lose, at least it is 0 as opposed to -30 or -20. That would be for results which you are not really that 100% confident can strike.  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
lol the tips i learned from my father
in Pontoon, he explained the need to buy insurance when banker is dealt an Ace and ure dealt a picture card
he explained everything and i understand why now

yeh cant wait for V5 to start men!
majakita is rather quiet, moreover he said its his first time playing

This is not judi. This thread is about a football prediction game organised by a British website which is FREE, has NO FEES and NO PRIZE MONEY at the end of the day among us forummers. It's not like all forummers put in money into a pool for it.

It is just for fun and enjoyment and also to chit chat and make friends among forummers.

So, do join us next season and test your skills. icon_rolleyes.gif

money pooling is actually somewhere in the middle of the 'line' from what i heard. its all up to that particular person himself.

btw m not really good in predicting matches result. hope i got time to watch 2 3 matches per week to be able to deduce the rsult

sweden is definitely a better team over Ukraine
but Ukraine home advantage (co. host with Poland) may be an advantage for them

I'll back Ukraine to win simply because they are the home team.

Russia-Czech might fizzle out a draw. So might Fra - England.

Group A is so boring (read: difficult to predict). Haha

I'll hold my money back for the home team Poland. It's a massive game with the winners of the year 2004. On the other hand, Greece has an impressive record of 55-22-35 in UEFA EURO tournament. They were one of the unbeaten team in the Qualifiers. I believe that form will be adopted by Greeks in the opening game. Considering Poland has a poor record in EUROPEAN tournament, they will fall back in the opening game unless the inspiring chants from the home ground fans would lift them for a win in the opener.

Poland will definitely struggle against Russian and Czechs. I do not see them through this group although home ground is an advantage.

I wonder if the friendly matches can be a gauge of what to expect.

Italy got trounced by Russia last night. Ukraine lost 2-3 to Austria, albeit to a late goal.

Italy might be bothered about the match-fixing scandal and flop really bad. Well, at least it's a good excuse for them to use, seeing that their squad is not impressive at all compared to the 90s and early 2000s.

For some reason, am not really looking forward to the Euros. I feel like the players are so tired after a long season that they are already burned out. Noticed that during World Cup 2010 and the last Euros as well. What do you guys think?

I reckon it would not be an easy game for Spain but they are capable of beating Portuguese in style. I opt for 2-0 for Spain. And Germans could be having the toughest challenge in the tournament against the Italians. Its a close call but i'm predicting comfortable win for Deutschland 3-1

Spain v Ger would've been the perfect final. Now I'm not that keen to watch it. Not a huge fan of Italy. although it's good that the team I support, Spain, is still in for it.

Imagine if the Italians won. Spain would been thinking why they did not settle for a draw with Croatia which would send both teams through at the expense of Super Mario and gang. Haha.

I think your banker bet works. The BPL is getting tougher and tougher to predict. Even a consistent team easily loses when we had a guess they could collect all 3 points but it goes otherwise.

Been flopping the last 2 weeks myself. Luckily yesterday matches saved me, albeit slightly. If not for that stupid penalty decision against Liv, most probably that game would've ended up 1-1 and I'd hit my banker. Damn it.

You guys may want to check out and support a friend of mine who just created a similar predictions site ->>> goalxp dot com. Seriously lacking malaysian players. Much easier to play tho and no point deduction whatsoever. Prizes aren't great but with more players the prizes will get more attractive (better sponsors). Give it a go.

Yeah dude, I am. Name's goalscorer in there. Tough week for predicting this week. Upsets galore.

BPL Predictor - qubba
GoalXp Predict the Scores - goalscorer

What's the key to join the BPL Predictor league?

For GoalXp no need for private league. New site. Seems that number of players still < 50 hehe

All the lyn veterans doing poorly. Newcomers leading the table.

Bad week for me last week. Late goals ruined me to the max. I put 2-2 for Chel-Newc but the late goal killed 30pts. Also had South 2-1 Wigan, only for Maloney to score the last min goal to draw. Another one is Reading-Sund. Had it at 1-1, I think. Late goal sunk Sund.

This season seriously no luck. Even to preserve banker bonus is tough. sweat.gif

the best part was my insurance and banker i put on a 1-1 draw for everton game
end up 3-3, correct draw 20pts x 3 = 60
other then this few games, most of the other games kelong la

Good to know that you're setting up a new league for the forummers for the upcoming season.

Been good fun although the banter was not that much last season compared to the previous one. Cheers.

Was rock bottom of the league after saturday's games but bounced back yesterday. Got 60 for Chelsea and 15 for Spurs.

Who would've backed Villa to upset Arse at Emirates? sweat.gif

anthony taylor needed attention...
he fuk the game up, can't help it,
that said the toll from the game not only bears a defeat, now macam very thin squad with Koscienly likely to ban 1 game?
and with oxlade injured and a few others me think
i am not to optimistic entering next week Fulham derby
thinking a 1-1 draw there...

Yep. and I kena -30 already for Everton v WBrom. And who would've guessed Cardiff to beat City.

Am down in the dumps but there's only one way and that is up.

Two big games this weekend - Liv v MU and Ars v Spurs.

Yeah this season the banker is going to be very challenging. It's really a gamble. I'm thinking of just playing it safe and place it on a x2 match, for example MCity v Hull. Should be a walk in the park. Unless Hull pulls off a Cardiff-like performance.

we on the other hand, so near yet so far
one of those days
where you predict villa 1-1
end up 1-2
Hull to win 2-1 end up 1-1
etc
then you check stats, base on those stats, arguably your prediction should hit..but that wasn't the case
Spurs to win 2-1, end up 2-0....noob wolfwinkle scuffle his super clear chance,

emo/rage/feels like a noob
only 65 pts this week, most ppl on average 80-90 pts

First time in many seasons scored 90 points twice in a prediction season. Yet lost points at other matches. Still not a good pundit though..*sigh*

Thanks bro sky for organising the league. Congrats to the winner and here's hoping that next season would be better!

PS: Are we having one for the World Cup?

Cheers.
