Hi,

I'm in dilemma of choosing the right card.

1) I just got salary raise 2months ago, Annual 36k-48K.
2) Yes free lifetime
3) I spend on Petrol, clothes, car accessories , gadgets and grocery. I like cashback, discount, the free things & priorities . Better have installment plan. Last is low interest rate.
4) Public bank classic card, little cashbank and lousy customer service
5) Citibank clear card, Maybank gold 2 Amex, UOB Titanium
6) 1st on cashback, 2nd on discount.
7) Mostly swipe cc on petrol. Depend, sometimes can spend 2k. Sometimes just 500+

I will get 2 best cards and cancel my public bank classic. Better the 2 cards is free lifetime so that i don't need to keep on track how many times i swipe.

Previously UOB & Citibank rejects my application. Don't know why Citibank reject although salary is qualified, one of the operator told me they can't verified my working place & the place i stay. Said no one pick the phone. Scold them why so no brain, house of coz no one pick becoz go to work. Office sometimes away from desk. Like that terus reject? So this time, i am afraid they will reject again.

I have strong feeling to get maybank and citibank because i got maybank account which convenient for me and i always go to Zouk which i dun need get headache on paying cover charge. Is Maybank has better cashback to UOB?

Go apply Maybankard 2 Cards and OCBC Titanium MasterCard.

OCBC Titanium MasterCard good for petrol. Maybankard 2 Cards good for weekends spending and has many merchants offering 0% installment.

And you were wrong to scold the bank representative because it is a standard/normal procedure for them to call your home or office to verify you applied for the card. This is for your own good too in case people use your name to make application. And if you nobody picks up your office phone, how can anyone verify the info you provided is genuine? They may also call your mobile, and if you don't answer your call, then too bad.

Thanks for your recommendation. I do aware that the verification call is good. I did ask them why not call to my hp if they can't find me. They said don't know. That is why i get angry.
