Besides OCBC Titanium, there are many cash back cards such as Citibank Platinum Cash Back (o.3% for general transaction), HLB Essential (1% except for petrol), HLB Fortune (this one complicated), OCBC Gold (0.2%) & Plat (0.5%), CIMB Visa (0.5%) and several Debit Cards such as from Alliance and Public Bank.

But since you only spend RM1K to RM3K, the returns from the above mentioned cards won't give you more than RM30 in cash back monthly (excluded petrol since you did not state as a requirement). Therefore, if you not not considering insurance premiums, best card to get is still Maybankard 2 Cards where the AMEX earns you 5% cash back for all transactions on weekends and capped at RM50/monthly.

Click here to see comparison of cash back cards, OCBC vs CiTi Plat CB vs HLB Essestial vs AMEX Gold CC For an idea on Maybankard 2 Amex card, just assume it is like the  Amex Gold CC (instead of cash back redeem for cash vouchers) but with additional benefit of 5% cash back on weekends.

Click here to read comparison of Maybankard 2 Amex vs OCBC Titanium MasterCard.

Click here to read brief comparison of Maybankard 2 Cards vs Citibank Platinum Cash Back.

If after reading above, you still don't want Maybankard 2 Cards, go get Alliance Platinum or Premier Debit Cards where you get more than 1% cash back for all transactions.

if you include petrol, for your case you have mentioned that OCBC is out, Iwould say you can consider Citi Plat Cash Back where it does give you 5% for ALL petrol stations but capped at RM30 a month (or petrol RM600). But overall, MBB 2 Amex still better since you gives 5X and 5% (weekends) for other transactions compared to Citi Plat CB 0.3%. Do read the link I posted earlier on Citi Plat vs MBB 2 Amex at my blog.

the 5% rebate during weekend for MBB 2 Amex included the petrol right?

and when we spend during weekend, we'll get both 5% cash rebate and 5x treat points?

and is the MBB 2 Amex cash rebate same as citibank where u need to accumulate till RM50 then only give u the cash back?

Gen-x, i'm still blur blur with the Amex Gold CC 5% cash rebate during weekend
are we getting both 5% cash rebate and 5X treat points?
or we'll only get 5% cash rebate?

and can these 2 cards be used for online transaction like buy gsc movie ticket online or buy things from amazon?

coz my friend keep on asking me not to get these cards coz he say cannot go through the online transaction one.

i can get 7-8% cash rebate if buy thing during weekend which is higher than OCBC titanium (assuming i use the 5X point to change cash voucher)
