What would you recommend for the following?


1. Annual Income: Qualify for platinum cards

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Just conditional annual fee waiver is fine (spend 3x, etc)

3. Card required for: Cash back, LCCT airport lounge.

4. Existing credit cards if any: Alliance Gold Cash Back, Citibank Plat, Citibank Cash Back Plat, RHB Plat, SC Business Plat > want to cancel to 2-3 cards only

5. Preferred Bank or Considering CC from banks: Don't know.

6. Others: Best bang for the buck in terms of cash back/rewards. Rewards in terms of cash vouchers at Jusco, Metrojaya etc.

7. Fixed expenses per month with the card: RM300 petrol; dining RM1000; groceries RM500; Maint fee, TNB, phone auto-debit: RM400, Misc RM1000

8. Non-fixed expenses but recurring in RM: Air tickets RM2000 every months, overseas spending RM2000 every few months

Gen-X... Thanks. You are totally very conversant in Malaysian credit cards. Very impressive. The title "King of Credit Cards" is slightly cheesy, but it comes to mind

I'll look into the cards you recommended, and do some calculations on how much cash back from the merchants.
