my monthly expenses as following

- TNB, Unifi, Phone bill, Astro around RM400-500
- Groceries (Jusco & Tesco) around RM500-1000
- Petrol around RM200
- others example dining, insurances, cake material, car services around RM500-RM800

for billing i will use OCBC TI
groceries & petrol if weekend will use MBB2, else will use OCBC TI, except Jusco will use MBB2
i got 2 more cards are HLB Ess & SCB Biz Plat for other expenses
now plan to cut either HLB or SCB, keep which 1 is better?

actually got 2 more cards which is CTB CBP & UOB One, plan to cut them next year.

Sorry for comment that not related to this topic but just would like to confirm.

10% discount for anything at Airport? because I have bought something there and get 15% discount for using CIMB cc too  hmm.gif

CIMB Platinum or above just can entitle 15% discount.

SCB, I guess you have not been reading SCB Thread. Click here to read my article Standard Chartered Banks Credit Card Points Redemption Is Simply Ridiculous.. The main reason why those who wanted to cancel SCB cards decided against it is because they accepted SCB's "bribe" (cash back - more than enough to cover GST waiver) in exchanging to keep the card  laugh.gif

I guess for you case, your concern is how to maximize the return from the RM500-800 where AMEX not accepted. Well besides HLB Essential base on this spending amount, the only other card I can think of is Mach credit card by Hong Leong Bank where they give you 5% cash back for dining. But since you are currently an existing customer of HLB, you may not be entitled to the first year annual fee waiver.

i think i will follow your step to cut SCB card, although yours is Visa Infinite, and mine just small potato....
dining is not important for me, because i seldom eat at outside, even eat at outside also having in Chinese restaurant which just accept cash.
so i think for my current cards, HLB Essential is the best for me for other expenses except Petrol, Groceries, Utilities, Telco & those merchants not accept Amex.
