Hi, need some help for applying credit card in Malaysia. Currently working in Singapore, SG income, Malaysia no income.

1. Annual Income: RM100K and above (converted to RM and also the figure in SGD). Btw, they convert to RM or will take the SGD number to consider?

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Not necessary, best if have though.

3. Card required for: List all your needs. Petrol, cash back, air miles, interest free installment  for purchasing things.

4. Existing credit cards if any: Nil in Malaysia. Maybank, Uob, Hsbc, Stand chart, Citibank in SG.

5. Looking at CC from: Please recommend. Applied OCBC Titanium last month, still waiting their reply. Looking for 2 more cards. Maybe Maybank 2 card and Public Bank for the free flight insurance?

6. Others: Malaysian but working in SG, no income in Malaysia.

Thanks for your help!

Try maybank 2 cards.

As far as I know, bank will treat your SGD as RM. (1 to 1) Eg, if you are earning SGD3000, they will just treat it as RM3000. (According to CItibank)

5. Looking at CC from: Please recommend. looking to replace the cimb platinum which has not much benefit

spend rm1800-2k but only get rm50 rebate only sad.gif

Looking at your spendings, I would suggest MBB2 card as mostly of the gloceries like Aeon, Tesco, Giant, and etc accepts Amex(5x treatpoints + 5% rebate on weekend).

If you are pumping Shell or Petronas, they do accepts AMEX too...not to mention Airlines...as most of them do accept

MBB2 card cash rebate capped at RM50

Depends on your spending power.

Looking at your annual income, I suggest you MBB 2 cards or OCBC titanium.

Spend quite a lot on clothes. about rm800 monthly.

You can also consider HLB Wise card. (Provided the place you shop under their cash rebate categories)

For me, I will rather go for MBB2 cards and OCBC. (Best combo ever)
