1. Annual Income: Roughly RM36k
2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Preferable
3. Card required for: List all your needs. Cash Back/Rebate Only, Insurance payment, Retail, Cinema (Very important since am a frequent cinema goer, prefer if there are lots of promotions on this), once in a while installment payments for gadgets, treat points
4. Existing credit cards if any: Maybank Card 2 Card
5. Preferred Bank or Considering CC from banks: Considering Citibank Clear Card
6. Others: I am happy with Maybank's customer service, but I don't seem to enjoy a lot of promotions with Maybank credit cards for retail and cinemas
7. Estimated Spending per month with the card: Roughly RM1.5k

Hi Gen-X, seems like except for Citibank Clear card, it is not worth to apply for other Citibank cards just for the cinema promos. Is Clear Card cinemas promo will last for a long time? I am thinking whether to get the cheaper movie tickets are worth the annual fee and the GST

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Jul 17 2012, 11:30 AM) If you go to the cinemas with a partner every Friday of the year and use the Citibank Clear CArd to purchase ticket costing RM10 (it will be more), that's savings of RM520 and then on every Saturday until end of this year, you go to TGV, still can save around RM200 If you go cinema alone every Friday, buy the Free 1 for 1 ticket and sell it to to someone in the line for 50%, you still save RM260 Anyway, not sure about the Clear Card for Fridays, you got to go read the T&C, but on Saturdays at TGV until end of this year, you are entitled to buy up to 2 for 2 free tickets Annual fee I guess first year free and you can ask for waiver for subsequent years. As for GST, you will start saving money once you utilize the Free 1 for 1 movie ticket more than 5 times (or maybe even after 2 times). Oh, we can apply for waiver for subsequent years? Am newbie to credit card, just started working not too long ago. Thank you so much for the information, it has been really really helpful! Well, I go to cinemas every Friday or Saturday, so I guess it worth every penny of it!
