I tested but my amp cannot support TrueHD so it automatically decode to DTS 5.1, is this right?

It always show:
subtitle 1.srt
subtitle 2.srt
while my file name is xxx.GB.srt and xxx.ENG.srt.
Is that possible make it show GB / ENG instead of "1" and "2"?
If can, that would be perfect.


and...what is the password to unrar the firmware?
If I have HDD installed internal, will it format my HDD when I flash the firmware?

If you connect V10 to your PC, then you can map the drive:
i) Windows Explorer > Tools > Map Network Drive

ii) Choose a Letter for the HDD, for example I choose "X" drive, and "folder" key-in "\\venus\hdd"


iii) Then after you map the drive, you can check the disk space from your "My Computer" or Windows Explorer for your "X" drive.

Yeah, I know what you mean 'slow down pc', but sometime i just map it just for check the disc space then I disconnect it when no more use.
I guess you know what I mean. I almost every 2-3 days will transfer files from "download pc" to my V10, so I also use the \\venus\hdd only. Mapping drive use just for checking disc space.
hmm...if V10 build-in with this feature, that's would be wonderful.

oh, is HDPro+ got this feature (check disc space)?
I didn't notice it last time when I used it.

BTW, how you transfer files into your internal 3.5" HDD?
via USB ext drive? RJ45-Network? WIFI? USB-to-PC?

I also using CAT5 only with my 100Mbps router.
Currently my speed only transfer around 3MB/s, very slow if I transfer 8GB or 12GB.

Anyway, going to upgrade with Gigabit LAN soon, if using the same cable, am I still get the same transfer speed?
If can transfer 10MB/s or 20MB/s that would be very good for me.

Yeah, thinking to get a Gigabit LAN router. Hopefully can increase my transfer file speed.

Well, do you have any problem when watch a movie (test play) and then stopped, and play it back again, when it ask you want to resume "OK" and "CANCEL"....i press "OK", it hanged....
and other situation also will hangs too.... I'm still using the stock firmware...I think is should be JUNE'11 firmware.

did you try GOTO? Try pick any time for example 05m....then jump to 1hour...then 1h20m....etc.... make sure it can play.

From my experience, some of my *mkv file are corrupted (download and merge not completely...etc), when I test play with V10, I only can forward 1x...1.5x only.... 2x...4x...8x...16x all are not allow...while go to, also not allow me to use this function.... try check and see...i also curious what's the problem.

What I do it, redownload again and test it.
It's work and running normal.

But recently, there are some mkv files make the V10 no response after start play it.
When press GOTO, fast forward, subtitle...all of these are really extreme slow response.
After first press, all the remote control button no response what ever button I press while the movie is running normal.....

what I try is...turn off the v10 (by pressing & hold the power button in-font of V10), after reboot....play back the same mkv file, still the same issue... anyone has this problem?
I believe my download mkv file are no corrupt because it run smoothly with my PC.
If file corrupt, when test run with PC, surely cannot run or hang.

any ideal what happen?

oh, i'm still using the stock firmware on it (June'11).
Not all the mkv files, just certain mkv file, dont know why.

BTW, blueray menu only can play for *.iso format?
My is not *.iso format.

hmm, I have 2 type of Avatar:

mkv - Avatar.2009.Extended.Collectors.Edition.1080p.Blu-ray.DTS.x264-ViSTA --- running smooth on both HDPro+ and V10...no issue.

Bluray - Avatar.2009.Extended.Collection.Edition.Blu-Ray.AVC.DTS.DISC.1 -- test few times to run it, totally not smooth, frame by frame without audio ouput....and after few times "Rescan media files" with 3.5" HDD inside, then only can play. But the menu is slow pop up. Cannot see DTS-MA audio to choose, dont know why....and Bluray Menu still cannot play, I'm not sure is what format (java or etc...)
after read your msg here, I also worry my own "stock" since I do not have space to backup all my TVB.
Well, after i checked, and they are look good, can see the files size.
(no test play all of them with V10, just check via IP with PC)

Is 3.5" installed inside the player or ext USB hdd?
Are you use did you play them before and store until now become 0KB? very weird if this case....

I checed some of my mkv, some are 9 frames...11 frames, still can play smoothly without any problem.

You connect AVR (surround amp) and the AVR isset to AUTO detect the HDMI input audio?
If yes, when you play "Nemo" frame by frame, is the AVR showing blinking-blinking DTS?
hmm....I never try on any 720i or 1080i, so far all of mine are *p (progressive), maybe you can try switch to 720i or 1080i mode on your V10 / TV? haha... just a try

From your mkv filename cannot know the ripper group name, any ideal on that?
Is that the full title name when you download?
sometime ripper group name also important on their quality...hahah....

Anyway, my some mkv (2 or 3 files) also cannot GOTO, dont know why....

I saw is "20110608".
ok, I selected "ALL MEDIA" under option and now I saw my *.jpg, thanks.

Yesterday, I transfered 18.5GB (TF3) into V10, and after transferred done.
I test play with V10, and GOTO, cannot work. I deleted it from my v10 and re-copy again into V10. And test play with GOTO, that's only play well on my v10.

Summary:
Can test play with your HD Media player with GOTO, make sure it's work with GOTO before you delete your main source. Luckily I still keep the source.

I'm not sure is v10 issue or my network issue...haha...
Anyway, once you cannot use GOTO, that's mean the video file should consider corrupted, so better check with GOTO before you delete your main source.
