aw cmon' for pete's sakes just get the ATI X800GT.
it's obvious already, 6600GT won't beat the X800GT (in a lot of games, not all)

correction, the R480's clocks better than the R423 actually.
it's just that R423 has 12 pipes IINM which makes it look sweeter on paper. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=73404&highlight=x800gt This post has been edited by pizzaboy: Sep 9 2005, 06:44 AM |

QUOTE(crazybear @ Apr 4 2006, 12:37 PM) Actually the card without overclock can give a high performance already, if overclock the card just will make it more heat and unstable only. nonsenseeee~~It lags kay when I play FEAR and Quake4 at the highest detail. After flashing, and overclocking, it's smoother now. And it's still running fine. Gonna pop my VF-700 if i can find it outta my storeroom and oc more! |

QUOTE(crazybear @ Apr 4 2006, 04:30 PM) I think it should be yr card problem, i play Quake 4 with higher detial have no problem and no lagging. FEAR i didn't try yet! eih fren, HIGHEST DETAIL on FEAR you try see lag anot. For me, overclocking maybe can higher the performance, but it will increase the heat(unless yr cooling system is good) and shortage the card life. No lag, I'll personally bestow you the title of "Smallest eye within 34 miles of the KL public library" Even my GTX used to lag la yoo. And hell yeah, my rig has a good ass cooling. Running naked with VF-700 mana tak good. Sialz mia Abit mobo dowan let me run at 1T. Grrrr....tweak tweak!! I must get my 1T timing. U go ahead, run it at stock speeds. I'll keep my brother happy at X850XTPE |

oh and some results from 2001 3dmark, I prefer using 3dmark2001. It tests everything. Fully stock, X850XTPE modded+AMD64 Engineerin Sample runnin 2050Mhz. When under load, goes to 65C....not bad at all lar the stock heatsink, who says it sucks? Attached thumbnail(s) |
