Thick grass field? More like "But, after touching down, McKinney used a "GPS tracking app" to locate the device, which had landed on the roof of a building roughly a half-mile away." That's 13,500 foot fall to the roof. How serious of a momentum can that be? Can read more (with pictures) of the story here

@koh_424 @sakurazz Sadly you can't sync SMS. Android and iOS employs different database to store SMS. What Makaveli suggested was for contacts. From google, I found that there are tools for converting iPhone sms to Android but not the other way round. Added on August 1, 2011, 12:27 amQUOTE(locksng12 @ Jul 31 2011, 07:11 PM) Since I've got no where to post, I hope I can post this question here. I'm looking for a bluetooth handsfree for my iP4. I just don't like to get my oily face on the screen of my phone. It makes it Oily duh... Can anyone recommend me some bluetooth handsfree devices please? Any bluetooth headset/handsfree will do. Even your RM10 bluetooth. This post has been edited by frozzbyte: Aug 1 2011, 12:27 AM

Apple don't hate adobe but flash in particular. Why? Because flash is inefficient, taxing on the battery and old technology. They see HTML5 more superior to flash. That's all. Apple want a good battery life for its consumer. If you are given a choice, battery life or flash? Which would you choose?
If you own a mac, you know that surfing a website with flash will cause the cpu fan to go highes RPM. Why? Because flash is CPU intensive, but now adobe shift the computing to graphic card (where supported).

QUOTE(ang3llonz @ Dec 28 2011, 02:57 PM) Hi how to test signal outbound without blockage? What does it means? iPhone 4S 5.0.1 got a fix for this issue. If you're not yet upgraded please do so. You can read more about it HERE!FYI ... iPhone 4S with iOS 5 do not have the 3G on/off toggle. Some said this is so Siri can work properly.

That is not by Apple but by the initiative of Singapore own telco. The telco will take out the camera module and repackage it back. Some military installation does not permit any pic/video capturing devices/phones to be used within the premises.

Try doing the battery calibration where you run down the phone to 0% and fully charge it back to 100%.

Go to Settings --> Sounds --> Ringtone and try selecting any ringtone. Do you hear the ringtone?

@apiapi iOS is more a straight forward OS compared to Android. It's tailored to normal users where things just work and you don't need to know about permissions or what not.
iOS are not like Android where phone makers or telco will preload the phone with bloatwares and such. You'll get all the normal apps and with the appstore, install other apps without needing to set any permission. All apps are executed in their own sandbox and access to other apps and data are limited as a security measure.
Jailbreaking like rooting does give more flexibility and access to the OS. Jailbreaking does not compromise security per se but installing OpenSSH without changing the default password or tweaks/apps that open access to the phone system might compromise it. Some apps even can detect jailbreak, like maxis movies, and prevent transaction thru paypal. One thing iOS does not suffer compared to Android are malwares.
iOS are strict on what app are allowed to be on the appstore. If you feel uneasy with jailbreaking or opening up the system, then you can stick with the stock iOS as it is deem sufficient for normal users that want a phone that just work.
BTW ... you can remove any app you wish but not the stock app that come preloaded with the phone (there are not bloatwares)

Is your phone a locked phone that you need ultrasnow in the 1st place? If so, when you upgrade to iOS 5, did you preserve the baseband? If you did not and your phone is a locked phone then you are in trouble.

QUOTE(rhoyo @ Mar 6 2012, 11:11 AM) i have a question . is there a simple way to remove the notifications on the appstore ? tk Yes. Update the apps and the notifications will disappear, unless you are using a 'stolen' app and the pirate did not update it yet.

@terryfu Have you done the battery calibration? Full charge, use until turn off or 0% then charge back again.

@norasy.hussin I would suggest you set up your phone as new after a restore and don't restore from backup. The problem might be from backup of previous phones.

@norasy.hussin FYI ... Restoring as new phone will make your phone like you just purchase i.e. no contact, no sms, no pictures. This is just for you to troubleshoot. You can always restore back the backups anytime.

QUOTE(nairud @ Jun 1 2012, 10:44 AM) Guys, is there any way to check what apps are retrieving lotsa data to the iphone? my friend has just gotten her iphone 2 days ago and now it has taken up 300mb of usage already. Jailbroken or non Jailbroken? If non-JB, I think there are few data monitoring app in the appstore. If jailbroken, there are also app for monitoring data but I already forgot the name.
