100% its not an Antenna-gate problem because yours just a 3GS model.
Suggest you to take out the sim card and test it on other 3G enable phone.
Keep troubleshoot on the data transmits.
Reinsert back the sim to your 3GS and monitor again.
If problem still presist,change the sim card to 128k.
My cousin solve his signal drop and under coverage 3G connection by replacing to other sim card.

4.3.2 can be jailbroken by visiting jailbreakme.com via the mobile safari. No need to wait for iOS 5.

My situation is it happened to all area.

PC/MAC : window xp pro and ubuntu 10.10
Jailbreaking software : never jailbreak

Problem Encountered : I've just updated to the latest from 4.1 to 4.3.5 for main purpose of the personal hotspot. So I turn on the personal hotspot and I can connect it using my ubuntu 10.10 notebook. It found myname's iPhone. However, in my Windows XP Pro notebook it shows myname’s iPhone. The apostrophe is replaced by ’
Therefore, my windows XP Pro notebook can't connect to my personal hotspot


Steps Taken So Far : I've use both the wireless software to connect and Windows software to connect - both also see myname’s iPhone. It doesn't show the apostrophe

Other Information/Remarks : Tried also on my friend's Windows 7 notebook. It also shows myname’s iPhone

Hope someone can assist.

OK... nevermind, found the solution by going to iTunes and change the name without the apostrophe

Online = wifi or 3G?
I encountered data interruption often when answering calls. Guess that's normal for 3G or edge. Not sure for wifi, never try on that.

use cydia app: callbar. Oh! u mean when answering call. havent done that before

i guess its normal since during voice call the cellular data n 3g will turn off/sleep..

normally can.. i try many times no prob..

It's bad luck, i went to maxis, they replace new sim card for me and result still the same. then they said is my phone problem. since just after warranty, they only can replace one unit same model with additional rm500.

Its a JB iphone right? You are not suppose to click erase all contents and settings on JB iphone. You should be able to restore back. What error message did you get?
