SGS II or Sensation. Don't think of Arc. Not worth the investment. If games are really your main priority, maybe you should wait for the next refresh of iPhone. Get something with more muscle inside to be future proof. smile.gif

Thanks for the opinion but the problem i heard most of android phone cant last a day with moderation usage. Need one that can last a day without charging

like 8am to 12pm. Most important is the battery life. Samsung tab is good but its alittle too big.
*
I'm guessing you heard wrong. I have day to day test of Samsung Galaxy S, Galaxy S II and Sensation and all three does pretty decent. Some apps may cause battery drainage issue but without those app causing problem, the battery can sustain moderate usage for a day with ease.

Just to let you know, they're called Symbian, not Ovi phones. Ovi is the App Store equivalent for Symbian phones or Market equivalent.

Oh okay. Thanks man for your info. Appreciate it rclxms.gif

Just to fill you in with details. Buying AP sets also means there's no warranty by local distributor. This doesn't just mean the lack of warranty but also means there's no Quality Control over the device that came in, which if you have a bad luck is quite risky. Basically, you pay extra to get ori to insure the risk you're getting. smile.gif

All the phones nowadays are touchscreen. When my friend ask for phone without touchscreen, I seriously don't know which one to recommend. One friend can't use touchscreen cause he will be going to Russia and as we know Russia has winter season where hands will be in gloves, so touchscreen is not a convenient option.

Can recommend to me what non-touchscreen phones that are good and powerful? smile.gif

QUOTE(CLian @ Oct 19 2011, 05:52 PM)
I am looking for a new mobile phone for my mum. She is currently using Nokia 6700slide.

It has a 5mp autofocus camera which suits her, however, the words displayed are not big/bolded enough, which have been making her difficult in texting or reading messages. sad.gif

Before using Nokia 6700 slide, she had been using Nokia 3110 Classic, the words displayed on 3110 were more bolder and bigger than that on 6700slide.

So, I am now looking for a new phone for her, the condition is as below,-

1. Big and bolded words displayed esp for messages.

2. At least 3Mp autofocus camera.

3. RM300-RM400

Thanks! Looking forward to all your reply!  notworthy.gif

I don't know what to recommend but just to let you know there's a settings CTO increase font size in Nokia. I believe in messaging settings.

I do hope I'm in the right thread to be asking the few questions below:-

I was thinking of buying an android phone once Ice Cream Sandwich was announced, hoping
that the update for existing phones would released soon, but apparently updates by SE won't be released
until next year (after checking out the Android thread in LYN). When would the next ICS generation phones
be released? Want to know if it is worth waiting a little more ...
From anyone's personal experience, has anyone ever regretted getting an AP phone? Just wanna know
that side of the story a little smile.gif since I'm also contemplating between ori and AP SE Arc S.
I'm opting for the SE Arc S, but with a similar price-tag (if not cheaper), the LG Optimus 2X seem to have the best price-to-performance ratio.

Gaah!  sad.gif
*
Most worth it phone ever! Performance and budget. rclxms.gif
Android ICS not so soon. Galaxy Nexus is the first ICS. Droid Razr update coming in January next year. HTC updates dunno when only out. @.@ Samsung also dunno when but hopefully from their collaboration with Google for Galaxy Nexus, they have a headstart in getting the update done. smile.gif

I was told you can now upgrade the processor on the Nokia N8 to Symbian Belle. This will solve the lag problem. Is this true?
*
Not processor. It's OS. smile.gif
Symbian Belle is an update over Symbian Anna. smile.gif

hi all sifu..need some rekemen for hp..

1. Brand. - nokia
2. Budget. - below rm1k
3. Specs. - touch screen,gud camera function,music
4. Type/Size. anything but small..suitable for women (to buy for my wife)

thinking to grab nokia c7, is it ok? :-)

It's good but you can also check out Nokia 701. Same design with better processor. Or if camera is your main priority, get Nokia N8. C7 camera is fixed focus. No autofocus. Problem taking closeup shots. smile.gif
