I disagree to the fullest extent on your comment. English players don't have the skill and flair of European counterparts but it's their determination, heart and never say die attitude is what KD is looking for. I have watched EPL and Liverpool for >20 years and I can clearly see the English players commitment to the game when they play they play their hearts out. Last couple of season (during the Benitez era) Liverpool struggle for someone (Stevie G and J Carragher aside) to take the game by the scruff of the neck to the opponents and inspire the team of foreigners to play better. Stevie G is one of them but unfortunately he is in and out of injury. So hopefully with Henderson, Adams (although technically he's Scottish) and Downing, we have people who can take the lead and inspire foreigners to perform better especially when we are trailing.

Unfortunately, heart, determination & drive alone wont win u much these days. You have watch EPL 20 years yet u failed to observe the changing nature of the game.
Which successful team can be just that without flair players? Man U comes close but they still depends on flair players every now & then. Whats the problem of mixing steel with flair? In theory u can get the best of both worlds.
England national teams full of English heart & determination, what did they win again? Nuts.
English heart & determination can take the game by the scruff of the neck? You are taking the easy way of blaming foreigners for this. Being English had nothing to do with this. Being focus & tactically aware do. Back in 2001, the Reds team consistently win by slimmest of margin & consisted at least 6 englishmen. How's that taking a game by the scruff of the neck???

AA best buy of the summer
*
Aye..thats gotta be the best buy since its initially loan with Milan to buy him outright at 6mil Euro if he plays >20 match.
Wonder why we din insert the clause when he went Juve last season wink.gif

Seem that they start good momentum already. Congrats.

btw, El Zhar confirmed move to Levante. And Pacheco sealed loan to A. Madrid.

& straight loaned out to Rayo Vallecano. Good biz on AM part. Can see whether he can hack it in La liga. If yes, buy him at a price agree now, which is low judging by the value of him now. If he don't sent him back to us. AM in a no lose situation here

QUOTE(mercury8400 @ Aug 25 2011, 09:48 AM)
Why are we playing our first teamers like Suarez, Meireles and Adams against Exeter? We need to rest them especially Suarez for the next premier league game. Suarez has not been on a rest for the last  season due to copa america. We need him fresh, lively and sharp......playing him against Exeter is a waste of his energy. I believe the 2nd team like n'gog should be more than adequate to overcome lowly Exeter. Besides i don't think fans would care much about the league cup if we win the EPL........
*
Cos we have more respect to the competition & opponent. Face it, if we don't let the 1st teamers play, there'll be curse from all if there's unconvincing win, let alone draw or defeat.
Anyhow, the only 1st teamers that need rest is Suarez which play like an hour or so only. There's blend of squad & youth as well as 1st teamer which is not as bad as u portrayed though why Doni not playing is beyond me.

happy to see KD give a season long loan for pacheco to atl. madrid .. guess KD have plan for him next season ..
p/s:cant wait to see coates agger partnering in CB next month tongue.gif

there's pre-agreed fee for AM to buy him outright at the end of the loan if not mistaken. So maybe thats the last we'll see of him.

dat applies to aqua too iinm .. loan in milan with a clause of buying him after 25 games .. lol wat kind of clause is dat ??
*

a clause where it spelt that the seller is desperate to find a buyer.
normally all loans have some kind of arrangement whereby at the end, there's option to buy the players which rarely apply to young players unless they don't figure in future plan.
These 2 loan deals kinda benefit the them more than us.
