a student who's paying good money who expects certain standards when it comes to teaching?

Nah, he was alright, boring, but such was the nature of the subject . what pissed me off was that he didn't give us his own notes(which he tends to explain from) despite giving em to his past students. That really irked me. Made it feel like he was half-assing it from the start.

relative to other malaysia unis yes, around 90k minimum(for your entire course). Relative to foreign unis, of course not.

what about with the new rule whereby people who graduate in australia automatically get a 2 year work visa?

do you think this would apply if i study in Sunway but choose to do the gradduation in Australia? XD

48% does not mean that you got a 48%. It the mark they return to everyone who has failed a subject. There's no way to know what your actual marks are except by reviewing your paper and adding the marks with your internals. I've had friends who've checked their papers in the hopes of getting a pass, but alas, life aint all sunshine and rainbows

Just move on man(apply to check your paper just to be sure), learn your lesson and work your ass offf next sem.

any idea if jeyanthi's a good tutor? chose her cos she's also the lecturer for the subject, or would I be better off with dr frances for the tutes? any idea who's more strict when it comes to marking assignments?

I heard that islamic banking and e-business are relatively easy. marketing units seem to have easy finals but time consuming/hard assignments according to some of my friends.

Anyone here have any idea whats up with the futsal and basketball courts? Been ages and they've kept the courts locked up despite it being completed. Have half a mind to start a petition...

Also, whats with the computers in the library, i dont mind that they have a shitload of laptops to lend out, but its soooo inconvenient compared to the pc's, especially for printing, and not to mention the fine every hours....... so much for internationnal standards...

yeah, but come assignment time, its gonna be a major pain in the ass lol. Especially the whole 3 hour max borrowing rule.

its not too bad i suppose, but still, a pain compared to the old system. I do appreciate the increase in the number of laptops though, helps when im doing stuff outside the library, but nothing beats the classic pc for hardcore assignmenting imo XD

make sure you get straight hd's(a D here and there's alright, jjust not lower than that) for your first 2-3 sems and it shouldn't be impossible. In my 2nd year 2nd sem and I have a 3.89(accounting and finance major), missed a 4.0 by 2 marks ><" so far I only know one person in their 2nd year 2nd sem with a 4.0. But seeing the subject in accoutning major, and doing 3rd year accounting papers atm, its gonna be tough to maintain, 3 yr papers require a lot of work, but still, doable

or business and commerce its doable, just gotta study like a mad ****, especially 1 month before the exams. also, keep up with tutorial work and you'll be fine, not that hard, just takes constant effort, and of course, mad **** studying 3 weeks-1month before the finals
