erm october intake size was around 100...mechatronics i think around 10 or fewer

erm just to let u guys know...october intake is like this

sem 1 the whole batch takes same 4 units..from oct to feb

then sem 2 on march will be joining ppl from previous year July intake ( oct2013+july2013 same class next year)..

not sure...probarly every school is like this other than medicine

the High Achiever Award...anyone familiar with that?

like for me...i got when entrance...the requirement for me to keep on holding the award is maintain a 75% for every coming semester

but for my friend who didnt get the HAA when he come in , and lets say he next sem want apply need 90% ???

I remember reading something like new students 75% , existing students 90% .....but the page has been taken down from website and i cant seem to find it......

isnt 90% INSANELY HIGH ..... =O

haha yess....like for some units...the lecturers says that next month 1 week he wont be at school cause she is going for holiday.....we ask why and she says : I DIDNT KNOW THERE WAS A NEW INTAKE

and most lecturers are temporary staff

erm what i mean by temporary staff = teached for quite a few semester in monash already....and doesnt work full time here at monash...so its like monday wed fri he will be in monash ...and other day he will be at other uni


so far all the lecturers are quite good...no complaints from any of my batchmates...just that one unit very boring XD , cant blame the lecturer..the subject itself its boring

ur not in engineering...its useless telling u lol.....what i can say is the lecture is all about how to work in groups , how to work in a project etc...imagine sitting thru all this weeks

normally its like this

A studying Chemical Engineering , B studying Mechanical Engineering , C studying Civil Engineering

A B C first semester normally will have same common subjects....after that their units will be quite different


different schools will have different common subjects

Engineering is tough @.@

From day 1 onwards, everyone looks u into the eye and says : ur engineering ? Goodluck, u won't have Mch time sleeping 1st sem

seems like engineering timetables are the most packed...

during orientation...seniors told us this

Engineering : You wont get enough sleep this semester

Science : You will enjoy it ...ur 1st assignment should be making candy!!

Business : Enjoy ur uni life

well science > experiments > lab reports , so its not shocking lol

btw , today saw ppl moving things from MUSA lounge to the new building ( the 2storey multi complex building beside football field)...more spacious and more nice surroundings...

the new building is the new MUSA lounge + dancing rooms? + gyms on second floor...+a multi purpose court( used for orientation speech)

there is a new building behind medicine block too....this one going to be for medicine ppl + civil engineering students ( new course this year)

There is a building thy is for medicine , there's also a medicine school in Johor , I heard there are trying to move everything from Johor to here

as well for civil engineering XD

i think these type of question u better ask the uni course advicer...especially the first one....answers from internet are not always correct

2nd question can ask seniors who joined either 1 the program...but u better do research urself

one in SMR hostel which u need to have a resident card or u cant get in
