change in criteria n weighting, doesnt mean the uni's performance has drop... previously it was qs-thes... now split dmonash is probably diluted by having too many students and offshore campuses XD
Monash University Thread V3, Malaysia & Aus Campus, QS Ranking: Top 69, THES: Top 91 ^^ Up!

looks like monash is getting more and more commercialized. although making $$$/breaking even is important, i believe as an respectable institution they have a standard and reputation to maintain.

QUOTE(cckkpr @ Oct 6 2011, 09:22 AM) Sunway and Monash are part of Jeffrey Cheah Educational Trust and I dont think $$$ is the prime objective and whatever $$$ made is plough back for further development. you believe that bs ar? although its not making $$$, its complementing his other business... there's no free lunch in this world.. there're ways of how to milk the trust without other ppl knowing...If for commercial reasons, he would have just placed them into one of his PLCs, like HELP and SEGI. QUOTE(ceo684 @ Oct 6 2011, 10:30 AM) I dont believe anyone who put speedbumps on the road leading to a hospital to be able to think logically. actually it is important... there had been deaths on that road before, thats why they put those there... also a few act as a passage for handicaps |

QUOTE(cckkpr @ Oct 11 2011, 02:56 PM) You seem to be very much "commercialised". $$$$ is not everything. Many successful ppl have given a lot back to society, which in the first place has contributed much to their well being. probably you dont know... yes the entity is non-profit but where do the shareholders make their cut?Learn that the more you give, the richer you are, not necessarily in monetary terms! do u know how much $$$ monash msia is sending back to monash aus each year? do u know who build the campus? and make $$$ out of it? the campus was to spearhead the development of the 2nd lagoon.. dont be too naive... QUOTE(TENAXIS @ Oct 11 2011, 08:35 PM) its a very general degree... to say in demand is no... but should be able to find a job... considering its monash... |

QUOTE(Jjdesu @ Oct 13 2011, 12:48 PM) can accounting & finance/ banking student transfer his credits to australia during the 3rd year? i mean credit transfer during the 3rd year...because base on what i found on the website...finance is not offered elsewhere except sunway...can anybody clarify this? it depends on the subject rather than major.... if you're left with subjects that are available in aus, then you can transfer or u can grad with enough relevant credit offered by aus then u can grad from there... its better to talk to the course manager or head of school for these matter |

QUOTE(Home Made Cookies @ Nov 13 2011, 03:02 PM) Where did you get that? I have a friend who failed 3 times and still hanging around. can... but you have to tell them in advance... dont wait for last minute...------------------------------ By the way, I do have a question. I am suffering from flu and asthma really badly. Since most of the venue is retardedly cold, is there a way where I can ask them to allow me to change the venue like to one class probably? Because with the cold, I don't think I can take it or complete the examinations. And who is taking micro econs? What time is it tomorrow? WES is down and I have totally no clue. |
