RIGHT ! You use the JIG in ONLY one mode. Just switch off phone. Plug it in. If it doesn't goes to download mode , just means the JIG could be defective

If on stock rom, and you have installed original games app - and you face reboots - send in to check as possibly motherboard problem. But do a factory reset first and test gain ; if recur , rthan better send in to check. If you have install apps from dubious/ahem/blackmarket sources - this difficult to confirm whether is MB issue. I have a friend who swear that he only install apps from market ; when he show me - he was downloading apps from blackmarket. As he was a real noob, the seller advise and install for him this blackmarket telling him just download and install from there - he was so happy as he told me he need not pay for the apps!!! This is a fact not a joke. After removing some of the games apps, his restart issues were gone

Any improvement on data connection while on XXKG3 Modem? hmm.gif
*
I find the XXKG3 modem is working very well ( no complaints ) on my stock XXKG3 for the past 3 days. This afternoon, I flash Litening 4.1 which comes default with KG3 modem , similarly found it to be good. My area the 3G is weaker than town, but I find my downloads and browsing satisfying. I'd say it is generally better than KG2 and KE4 ( these 2 I used most of the time )
You need to test yourself as reception could be different at different places. I was on the highway ( on bus ) up to KL 3 days ago and I have no problems browsing throughout the journey from Batu Pahat to KL, on KG3 ( stock rom ). I am on Digi

Streamyx speeds is slow ; my house in Batu Pahat is always ranging from low 0.35 Mbps to 0.7 Mbps. Once in a while, if lucky I get 0.8 Mbps.
YES 4G just launched and even though not well covered yet at my place, I can get at least 1.25 to 1.85 Mbps. In town , I can get minimum 3.5 to 6.0 Mbps. Wait another 2 months, I will cut off my Streamyx and just use YES 4G

can this installed using CWM "install zip from sdcard" ?

Just use ClockworkMod recovery to install - worst scenario only a fail install ; it will not affect your phone - try it and let us know

hello guys, need help here..i am so dilemma of whether i wan to buy sumsung galaxy s2 or not, because wat scared me is i heard the phone is very hot,do anyone experience it?is it safe?normally when play game, surf net and talk thru the phone for how long it wil become hot?and another thing is the battery life?is it short or acceptable??hope to clear my doubt here:))
*
I suggest you do not buy since you are so worried. Why waste hard earn money on it if you are so concerned about these ? Might as well go buy a Nokia Symbian phone - cool and long lasting battery.

You will not get a straightforward answer as users needs/perception is different. For those used on 1 GHz Androids and above, these are not crucial issues. As for me these are non issues and I am not overly concerned about it. Those who are used to Nokia Symbians, Blackberries and old Windows Mobiles will find these are issues. It is analogous to buying a Porsche and then worry about the engine too hot and burns petrol like drinking water !!!
You want some opinions, in the SEARCH TOPIC just type in the keywords of battery life and phone hot and you can see all users comments; or read Page 1 FAQ where I summarized my comments

Actually I saw many shops selling at LowYat and at Sg Wang 3 days ago - most of them display price tags RM 2099. Ask a few and all said stocks ready. Even the official Samsung reseller at LowYat also has stocks plus a wide range of accessory including the latest slip on battery pack at RM 339

Rooting will not delete your data
Since day one even mine a UK set and I can see all Chinese characters. I did not install any apps or do any special settings. If yours is Msian set, shouldn't be issue

Does anyone know how to get back to the original firmware for my sgs2? I try on factory reset but it just wipe out the data only and not bring the sgs2 to the original firmware.

I am using the 2.3.4 KG3 now and i make my mistake forget to backup the original firmware that is 2.3.3.

Anyone can help?
*
Just use Odin to flash it back. You must have a record of the original firmware - the PDA, PHONE, CSC details . Just look this up at samfirmware.com
However I wish to inform you even if you could flash these back, most probably your kernel version remains unchanged unless you can find back the original kernel. Problem is the stock kernels are generic and I am not too sure whether it is specific for any country. The technician at the official service center will know straight away by just looking at the kernel version. Even if you have make a backup - your kernel has already changed when you flash the new rom/or flash the recoverymod

Based on my experience, I can vouch for Andida -it is one of the better, if not the best medium priced batteries. I have been using this brand on my HTC HD, HTC HD2, Google Nexus . I have also used those cheap types ( US$5 range) and all fail me after few months use - cannot be charge anymore. Buying these dirt cheap batteries, I'd advise you charge it separately on a external charger as I suspect the quality of the power cut0ff builtin chip ( if there is any )

hi Guys,

need your advice, 1st time using SetCPU on my Litening 4.1/Ninp 2.0.2. is it an idea setting? thanks.
*
Setting 200 Mhz as lowest is a RISK - your phone will not wakeup after idle several hours. It is recommended at least 400 Mhz

~~@ Uncle Benny

Do we really need to change our CSC.?
I'm using full stock XXKG1 with europe CSC and there is nothing different at all.

Or will i get into problem later on.??
*
Not necessary ; I never bother. If you want a safe choice - just select those multi CSC

Just take out battery and switch it on back . When it goes to sleep, you cannot just switch it on - the phone appears dead

I have got everything in place. the superuser and the cwm. The problem i faced now is that my gallery opens so slow. sometimes it takes about 10sec at the "loading" before i see the photo folders. trying to see if reverting the action helps or not.
*
gallery slow open is usually due to some images are corrupted. Try checking each of them, It is definately not related to rom ; if so many users will have same problem

Currently my sgs2 is leaked version firmware 2.3.4 KG3 but the WiFi is very poor or have problem compare to before this my sgs2 is original firmware that i just get my phone last week.

I plan to flashed it to Litening Rom v4.1 XXXKG3 but how come it have only the PDA file but no Phone and CSC file?

So what Phone and CSC file should i use with the Litening Rom v4.1 XXXKG3 so that the WiFi is working fine good and connection is good and also my sgs2 is run stable?

Thanks
*
Some rom files are compiled in just one TAR file - in this case you just choose this file as PDA, eg Litening file 4.1 after extract is just :
Litening_Rom_v4-1.tar.md5

Just leave the Phone n CSC blank ; and DO NOT select repartition
