Hi Guys,
As we know that IOS 4.2 and above is intergrated with airprint, but it only support limited's network printer. Means, all our home USB printer is not supported . Now,I am excited to share this tweak that allow my iphone 4 & ipad2 to print DIRECTLY via WIFI to my USB Canon MP250 printer (that is connected to my notebook) without purchasing any app from the app store !! . It prints natively from my ipad & iphone 4 directly to USB canon printer that is attach to my laptop. I can print via airprint from email, photo, pdf and anything that you can find the PRINT's function in your IOS.

Here is the steps

1) Computer must have iTunes installed
2.) Download & install Bonjour print services for Windows
link: http://support.apple.com/kb/dl999
Download AirPrint.zip (airprint.exe, libairprint.dll, XpdfPrint.dll)
link: http://forums.macrumors.com/attachment.php...18&d=1289596059
3) Unzip it.
4) If 64 bits Windows. Make a folder, "C:\Program Files (x86)\AirPrint\"
Copy the files to "C:\Program Files (x86)\AirPrint\"
5.) If 32 bits Windows. Make a folder, "C:\Program Files\AirPrint\"
Copy the files to "C:\Program Files\AirPrint\"
6) Run "cmd.exe" as administrator
7) Run (copy & paste) the following command in "command prompt". Make sure you run your command prompt in administrator rights..

Windows 64bits:
sc.exe create AirPrint binPath= "C:\Program Files (x86)\AirPrint\airprint.exe -s" depend= "Bonjour Service" start= auto
sc.exe start AirPrint

Windows 32bits:
sc.exe create AirPrint binPath= "C:\Program Files\AirPrint\airprint.exe -s" depend= "Bonjour Service" start= auto
sc.exe start AirPrint

8) Let Windows Firewall allow AirPrint to communicate on the networks (Double click on the airprint.exe)
9.) Made a shortcut of airprint.exe to Windows-Startup. So that each time Windows start, the service is automatically started..

** notes **
When you are able to see your USB printer from IOS airprint for the 1st time. A login credential to your pc/notebook is needed. After that you are done...

From attachment, ipad2 is able to "see" my USB Canon printer

Guys, share you experience here if you have done this tweak so that we can bring up this thread.. As, we know that many people is looking for ways to print from their I-devices but not afford to buy those expensive LAN printers... This tweak just use back our home USB printer...
