I went to take a look at a few units in Amara today and I have to say i started to get hooked at some of the units layout.

Particularly the 1051sqft corner have the perfect layout while the 1038(?) second by it. The 8xx ones isnt too bad but sadly no sliding panel for the living room. Never mention the penthouse. Love the size and the huge glass but layout isnt up to my taste.

I have a few key concerns which I am looking to iron out as I am ready to look into buying one :

1. I learned that the internet is powered by YES fiber. What is the maximum speed per household? How's the internet stability? I am currently running 30mbps Unifi.

2. I didnt get to see the parking area but would appreciate any input on that.

3. Lift. When I access the Block A's list, it seems shaky and not stable in terms of impression but Block C / D ones is very smooth and efficient. My concern is how frequent is the break down? Though I am pleased to know that all blocks are linked.

4. Washrooms. I did notice the 2 pipes that looks rather obvious. What measures you take to make it less obvious? tongue.gif This is where my OCD kicks in so badly.

5. Clothes hanging. The yard seems dark and hardly any sun light comes in. How do you all dry your clothes?

I do appreciate if anyone who is currently staying at block C or D mid-high floors to share their input good / bad.

QUOTE(azizulmalek @ Aug 31 2015, 06:50 PM)
Hey there! looking forward in getting more people here..

since i don't have anything better to do, I'll answer some of your concern:

1. Please check my review on the internet some post ago.. the internet is quite good. Same quality as Unifi. My 6mbps is as good if not better than my father's Unify(5mbps?). I think you can get a 30mb too.. already forgot the packages. its stable as of now..

2. The parking area is nice and cleaned daily. but a concern is where your park is located. Mind you that my parking is at 4th floor and its a STRUGGLE every single day to get in and out..

3. I'm quite surprised that you say the A block is sluggish than C and D. Block A is the best lift here(or maybe C). D? No...no..no... Break down rate? lets say, once a week for A and B.. D....like 2 a day.. (believe me, i gave up going to the gym because of the frequent lift problem).

4. I have no comments on that.. tongue.gif

5. My pool view get enough sunlight throughout the day.

Hey, some things to also consider.
1. Centralised astro(non HD)
2. Noise issue (6-9, 5-8 temple music, midnight YTL train noise (they start working in the midnight until morning)
3. Vandalism
4. Several non serious crime
5. Overly strict guards
6. Management issues
7. Traffic jams

just saying.. its not that bad anyway.

saying all that, The goods?
1. Serene environment (when the noise all gone or your minds starts to ignore it)
2. cool atmosphere. You seriously don't need any air conds.
3. amenities are nice. those shops are a huge plus..
4. nearby ktm

Lovely replies! The environment is the main reason why I love Amara. It wins a lot in compare to the already dense PJ, where I am currently living.

I can actually do with the noise issue which isn't a big problem. Also care to share more about the your parking struggle?

On the day of my visit, the block A lift jerks a bit and send shivers to me but when I go around block B to D, the lifts were great and smooth ride. The agent told me the lift in block A isn't as stable as the ones in D so that is how I got the info from tongue.gif

Traffic jam is everywhere and I can say that I am quite blessed with a very good working hours, 7.30 - 4pm, so i can dodge the peak hours jam around the area. Well, at least is way better than PJ in terms of the time to spend in the crawl.

I will have to make do on where to hang the clothes as the unit of my choice only captures the morning sun and no sun shining in after that. The unit faces North East, master bedroom sees the Taman Raintree while the living room is looking at the Batu Caves.

I was told my the agent that they are in the midst of installing the access card for entries up till your unit. Is that true?

I have actually made up my mind to go for it and in the midst of getting a loan package as well as considering on a furnishing loan too biggrin.gif

Ah, doesn't sound too bad but do need some patience to get it through. I assume there isnt any mid-ramps along the way from Block A to D then?

Hopefully I can get to ask the parking lots that comes with the unit i am getting, starting to get me curious on its location tongue.gif

I have personally seen some of the pictures of the parking lots, its really well made and clean!

Also one more question, I wonder if we can access to any basketball court nearby at Amara or Taman Raintree? I do inline-skates and that is my very last concern which i am looking to solve biggrin.gif

Thanks again for the information and the effort to describe the parking frustration, well appreciated on the details!

Wasn't that a break in?

If anyone can recall the gang wars that happened from Batucaves till Puchong? Gang rival each other due to some misunderstanding? hence the markings were there.

From the property agent I went to see the unit, he shared abit of the story of whats going on but unlikely they will touch places like Taman Raintree and Amara but still be wary on such activities though
