QUOTE(wiraone @ Sep 7 2012, 11:17 AM) Most import parts in building a hackintosh are motherboard and graphics card. Check the following page on what you need to get. If build like this is it okay?http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/search/label/CustoMac i7-2600K is a Sandy Bridge processor, and since Ivy Bridge is out, those SB motherboards are now in the cheap, do check the following for compatible motherboard for SB. http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2011/11/bui...mac-buyers.html Added on September 7, 2012, 11:18 amWhy tonymac emphasis on Gigabyte motherboards? Because their UEFI BIOS is not locked, not like ASUS or ASROCK and some others. (Mostly doing video works via a little gaming, dual boot on Osx and Windows.) I7-2600k Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3 Sapphire HD6870 Seagate 2TB HDD Corsair C9 PC1600 Vengeance 8GB x 2 Corsair PSU 650W Caasing: Need advice, if able have both USB3.0 and Firewire Should i add a SSD into it? Ocz Nerti don't have in viewnet or czone. Any shifu here willing to meet and teach how to build duat boost? |

QUOTE(wiraone @ Sep 26 2012, 12:59 PM) Your build seems to be okay, the only thing that I'm not sure about is the USB3 and Firewire. You could always refer to the success builds found in tonymac forum. We couldn't help much in helping you deciding which to go since many of us have different hardware and some like mine is a year old technology. Thanks,if this build is good to go then i'll buy them asap. What i'm worry is first time building hackintosh, afraid mess up during the installation. |

QUOTE(samowong @ Oct 15 2012, 04:01 PM) I am now dualbooting ML and Windows 7 in a single HDD. Windows 7 was installed 1st, working well. Proceeded with ML installation via Unibeast (as above post), working well. Upon installing Chimera/Chameleon, it brought me to the screen prompting me to choose OSX /Windows. Booting into Windows is fine. Booting into OSX gets me stuck at a white screen with Apple logo. Ran unibeast again with -v, stuck at ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin: :registerLPCDriver - failed to locate SMC driver. Pls point me to the exact kext to install. This is the umphteenth time i installed ML... Thanks Can show me the guidelines of your installation or where you refer to? I'm going to do a dualbooting hackintosh soon but not yet prepare well on installation steps. |
