guys, i want to get an affordable pc and i thought why not make it mac compatible?
so what i need is a build that is as strong as mac mini 2011 only and can install mac os easily.
this is the main spec for the mac i mentioned:
i5-2520M
4gb 1333mhz ram
500gb 7200rpm hdd
radeon 6630M

i need something just as strong as this not a super pc or anything. if price was no issue then i would just buy the real thing lol

no need for mince/keyboard/monitor btw

@olivur, haha, sorry, didn't know it is not a rumor anymore but announced already. TQ for the link. So, this is the best option for you guys. If you want to go for SL + Lion way, the cost will still be the same I believe. SL is RM109 + US$30 (bare in mind, availability of SL is 1-2 week.. guess they don't want to sell it anymore).

@CatDog, I believe what you're looking is actually a desktop PC. i5/2400, 4GB RAM, 1TB HD, Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3. Problem will be the graphics card. The popular among Hackintosh users, the Radeon 5770 is hard to come by now. So check what are working for Lion here. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=256103 and here http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewforum.php?f=15.

thanks man, i looked at lists available at lowyat.net and some shops still have 5770. it seems that you know what you are talking about and this might actually work. problem is that this rig you suggested looks too powerfull/expensive. as i said, i need a pv just strong enough to match the 2011 mac mini i mentioned. can you suggest a build that balances average power with low price?
